I think anyone can buy bitcoin, there is no general minimum limit for buying bitcoin. if you are teenager now you can purchase and use bitcoin if you had known about bitcoin.
the question is about the average user. if i look around me and the persons about whom using bitcoin their age is between the limit of 30 to 40 years of age. i think it is just a personal view. the actual data can some thing else.

Just wondered what age the average buyer of Bitcoin is. Myself I'm 36.
It would most probably be between 22 - 40. If you get introduced early like me then you get to spend more time on Bitcoin.

well i am 26 and all of my friends that use bitcoins are 20-30 years old, and i am pretty sure that most of bitcoins users are at this age, then there are still alot at age 30-40 years too and i think it is because younger people even if they know about bitcoins, they can't afford them and older people could afford them, but probably don't know much about bitcoins

Given the level of technological sophistication it takes to use bitcoin (not that hard but it's quite user unfriendly compared to PayPal or a banking site), ID say 18-35, and most likely white males. But, a lot of kids are familiar with bitcoin, and I feel they skew the average age down, but are outliers if you consider the amount of btc they hold collectively (very little).

From my personal estimates the majority of the users are probably between 18-38 years of age.

thats true, most of my friends that use bitcoins right now are around that age, i think that its because the people who use new technologies are usually really young because they like new technologies i am 22 years old and i am using bitcoins for a while already, in my opinion it is a really great thing that allows me to make some money from time to time, also i like using it online

I think more on 22-30 level of age buying bitcoins.. because this is a common age for new starter about bitcoin but.. we don't know old people because they are not so active in this forum so i think the poll for high age is low.. but honestly many old people are buying bitcoins above 30 plus..

I am a sprightly 41. Luckily my main boyfriend is 16. We're planning on having ourselves surgically melded in North Korea next year which will officially bring my age down to 28 as we'll legally become one entity known as 'Ourself'.

I believe it's the 20-35 range. They are people familiar with technology and currently applying for their first jobs (aka money). In the same time a lot of them have heard of people getting rich in the previous years and see btc as an opportunity to make more money. In the process they understand what the real benefits of the ecosystem are and eventually stick on bitcoin.

I am not a young bitcoiner, and unfortunately I have realized that most people with similar age (over 40) is not so interested in this type of alternate coins, but I have no problem with being an old man among young people.

Just wondered what age the average buyer of Bitcoin is. Myself I'm 36.
It's good to see that people at age >40 are already bitcoin users, i voted for the second one as i know many people (bitcoin users) that are at this age, but seems that also forum users 50% of the voters are at the same age. The early adopters are at this age but not teenager.

I voted for 22-30 because almost of my friends who are using bitcoin is ranging to that age. But in total teenager 16-21 is very possible to be an average age of bitcoin users because we know that the teenagers are the most related about technologies So for me for overall, Teenager because they will also fit if you talk about technology.

Well IMO the average age of bitcoin users are age 22-30. I think that way because many from that age use bitcoin for side jobs and extra income. Because of that reason I came up to the conclusion that the average age of bitcoin users are age 22-30
but to me the average age of bitcoin users is between 30 to 40. the people below 30 are less mature. they do not do study they mostly pass their time in enjoying life. traveling and parties. so they have little time to study about these things.

My age is between 30-40 so I voted that. But I do know another bitcoiner who is about 50-60 year-old. He was already a bitcoiner before I knew him.

I happy to find myself in majority age group but does this really matter? I don’t think anything like curiosity, contribution and activity related with bitcoin has something to do with age. A 60 age+ experienced person can participate in the community and on the other hand someone with 25 years old can equally contribute to the community. It all depends on what is your perception about bitcoin and how you see it in the future.

I believe bitcoin definitely regenerate. Bitcoin old player will be replaced by a new one, and it will occur continuously. But I think the average player bitcoin between 20-30 years old.
