Hello,

I haven't been able to go on www.instawallet.org from the tor network lately.
I am pretty sure, few month ago, that was working.

Anybody with the same issue ?
Are they filtering traffic comming from Tor network ?
Anybody know an another site I could use to mix bitcoin over tor ? (for free, like using instawallet)

Thank you

There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, which will follow the rules of the network no matter what miners do. Even if every miner decided to create 1000 bitcoins per block, full nodes would stick to the rules and reject those blocks.

I just tried and would access it through Tor just fine.

Anybody know an another site I could use to mix bitcoin over tor ? (for free, like using instawallet)

EasyWallet.org is like Instawallet.

We don't specifically care about Tor on Instawallet (or any of our services actually).

There's nothing wrong with it, the only thing is that we have automated security triggers that will ban IPs that run port or vulnerability scans at the firewall level. In this case you'll end up with a timed-out request. Which is probably what you are experiencing.

EasyWallet isn't quite the same as Instawallet, the base concept is the same but they have (I assume) a lower volume, but also original features that set them apart (oh and they're not free, but I don't think that should be the main thing on which you should base your choice). And it's run by a nice guy.

What about the Instawallet currently listed on the Tor network?

I just tried to have funds sent there to no avail. What is going on?
