Actually, there is a maximum Bitcoin price! How do we obtain it? Well, you can see that would occur if Bitcoin become the currency of the world and replaced all fiat.

Take the global M2 (total money supply including certain deposits: less inclusive than M3 but a good measure to be going on with), which is currently about $60-70 trillion. Divide this by the market capitalisation of BTC at the moment (let's say around $7 billion, because that's what it was when I last did this calculation and it gives a nice figure, and we're dealing with log orders of magnitude here), and you get a ratio of around 10 000. Thus, the price of BTC can only increase 10 000x from its current figure, unless more money is invented (which it will, by the time Bitcoin approaches that), but for now at least the theoretical ceiling of Bitcoin is:

$639 * 10 000 = $6.39 million/coin

Bitcoin is like gold, even though most of the investors do not know about bitcoin. But when the stock market crashes, the gold price increases because of huge buying order. If people think Bitcoin is worth $10k of today's value in 5 years to buy it for instance, then it will be the actual fair price.

BTC's value is definitely high compared to gold and even stock market shares. The issue here is that if the price reaches $1000 one day and then drops by $200-$300, people won't feel safe to invest in BTC and incur such a huge loss while gold and stock market shares have a stable increase and don't drop in seconds. For me, $1K is a very high rate and $650 as well. $400 is just OK.

It depends on what price has been considered a stable price for bitcoins. Earlier it was stable at $250-$300 for over a year and people considered that as a stable price for BTC while since November 2015, it has seen prices like $400-$800 till date which is not considered a stable rate. For me, the highest price that bitcoin has reached is $1300 which is too high to consider buying bitcoins.

I understand where you are coming from. A lot people here like to share their wildest price predictions while they in fact don't make much sense. However, I am a bit more optimistic about the price than you are. By the time the next halving will happen, the price must be higher than $2000 otherwise block rewards will not be that rewarding at all. I personally find the $1000 barrier to be an achievable target for this year. Only time will tell what will happen.

yes that is a fact the present downfall of bitcoin is also not in the favour of miners, they cannot afford mining if the price of bitcoin continue falling. therefore i think that there will be so much support to bitcoin in 55o$ and hope that after that the price of bitcoin will again start rising and hope that this time it will cross its all time high level.
