Only the money involvement differentiate gambling and gaming. Both gambling and gaming are addictive and should not be performed without self control nor without parental monitor. Otherwise both are very dangerous regardless of its user's age.

Kids should not learn to gamble in any way, that will only destroy their focus in studies and will possibly ruin their life in the future. Kids has no matured thinking yet and there decision making is solely base on their gut feel where more emotions involve and if they will decide in gambling, the probably the worst result.

which are already performed

Yeah gaming is also for adults and not just for kids but gambling is really made for adults and not for kids. I think It should be.

That is true and for me kids doesn't have money too, so if you become a parent make sure not to give them money instead just give them their needs and not money.

That's true, gambling is just made for an entertainment of a mature persons and not for kids. Gambling is really not made for kids and it is not fit for them, they don't know how to handle situation and they don't know how to have self-control.

Not all parents know their kids very well anymore this days...Most kids do their own stuffs and keep it secret... Kids who gamble and keeps it a secret looks like a smart kid to me, but not in a good way...Seriously, kids should always be told about bad effects of gambling and that they should not do it as it is not a good habit...  But if you are a parent and gambles also, then I think it will be hard for you to teach your kids not to do it...

Well even though there are strict parents and doing everything just to make their kids grow up properly. But sometimes the environment itself is the cause.

There are some kids that are very curious with everything so even a child was raised properly by his parents he is just going to be influenced by those people who are always with.

But gambling is not really for kids and kids must realized it.

I used to gamble when I was a kid....And, I loved it!  I'd lag pennies....play heads and tails...etc.  I actually learned a great deal about probability from those experiences.  However, I don't believe children have the maturity level to understand the value of work well enough to handle money responsibly, so they should not gamble until they've learned the lessons provided by engaging in a healthy work ethic before they begin to gamble.

When I was a kid, that was my gambling too, and  since I only have few penny I am afraid to lose, and that is the reason why I never gamble much that time. But anyway, kids should not be permitted to gamble,they have no idea what they are doing or even an idea that the money they are using is a hard earned money from their parents.

indeed, because we don't know how will become the kids in future, if their kids become a gamblers and the bad news, their kids become addicted with gambling then its the big problem to cure. so i think we should not allow our kids to watch any gambling games or make a bet in any situations, or if we are able to explain to them, then we can exlain about bad of playing gambling games.

Once a kid is old enough to work for his own money and pay their own bills, then they should be old enough to gamble.  Once they learn how much it hurts to lose all their hard earned money gambling, they may learn to be more responsible.  And it may teach them to avoid the behavior altogether.
