I'm looking for an iPad/iPhone app that will sound an alarm to wake me up when bitcoin hits a price point on MtGox that I select. Does anyone know of such a beast?

Each block is stacked on top of the previous one. Adding another block to the top makes all lower blocks more difficult to remove: there is more "weight" above each block. A transaction in a block 6 blocks deep (6 confirmations) will be very difficult to remove.

People developed these during the volatility of 2011. It might not be much use given the ridiculous lag time MtGox has been experiencing lately when things get volatile.
|
All I can say is that this is Bitcoin. I don't believe it until I see six confirmations.

I use these 2 iPhone apps: "Bitcoin Ticker" and "btcReport"
btcReport has a super slick and minimal interface.

btcReport has a super slick and minimal interface.
Thanks I think Bitcoin Ticker is going to do the trick, if I can get the sounds working properly on my iPad. |

If you are concerned about a lag time, perhaps you should consider a limit order. You would hate to buy in or sell based on a ticker price that is delayed. It could burn you really bad...
