[...]
With this awesome new service, Twitter has suddenly become a global banking system with 540 million accounts. The best part about this is the ability to tip famous people with Bitcoins; I bet that will make things interesting quickly. To inaugurate this service (no pun intended), my first tip will be going to Barack Obama.

Hmm... the support twitter account doesn't exist. I just tried emailing him. I sent .1 BTC and it thinks I have a full BTC. Odd.

Very cool idea though. If I could pay someone for lunch via a Tweet, that's pretty cool.

You can do that with Dwolla already, but I've never tried it: http://blog.dwolla.com/pound-dwolla/

Also sent 0.1BTC, and received 1BTC.
Checked my balance a second time, now got 2BTC. Should I try to check it 21M times ?

Yeah, same here. Looks like they are still working through some glitches. I tried to do a withdrawal and it sent me to a page with a database connection warning Sad

I emailed the address listed on the site, but haven't gotten a response yet.

Not exactly the sort of service that you want to have technical issues with on your first day.. maybe some PHB's involved in pressing up the launch date. Or cheapo developers who don't know how to test their own work properly.

Shit happens, sometimes you cannot anticipate everything I guess.
Anyway, seems to be working now, I was able to configure and address and withdraw.

That's a good thing. I don't really understand why someone paid Obama (Bitcoin taxes?  Cheesy)
