Bitcoin was started when MegaUpload was in full swing, he would never have had the time to envision, design, code, and test it.

Well, due respect goes to Kim but hey, he would have to stretch too too far to come with something like Bitcoin. I am myself a programmer with interests in diverse fields (from cryptography to high level app programming) and I am confident Bitcoin goes far beyond single person's capabilities. Satoshi = several people. And as noted already, Kim would not keep his mouth shut for this long.

But yes, the person or persons hiding behind the Satoshi moniker could certainly be female, or include females. It wouldn't be the first time a woman chose a male pseudonym to get respect in a "boy's game."
