Hey,

Been compiling a list of alt's that went dead over time.
Was wondering

-What is the biggest loss you have taken in an alt-coin investment
-What do you think made it die / killed it
-If you were to do that investment now, what would you do different ?

Looking to compile information on the rise of alt's and how it is changing the financial world by storm.
All inputs would be appreciated.

P.s - PM's are always welcome.

I don't think many people are willing to recall the pain, lol.

What i do different now: not being greedy with coins anymore. Being content with smaller position because things can go south at any time.

Yeah I love how people come on here and brag about their winnings (which I don't doubt) like it's a rational process which can be kept up indefinitely.  I've seen price swings with altcoins that couldn't possibly be tolerated for long.  Look at what's happening with TRUMP, one of the shittiest shitcoins I've seen thus far.  One would have to be a fool to get into that and hold on.  You would have to have not two, but three clanging brass balls.  I do not have such a set.  I'm as wimpy as they come.

You must mean 80% drop. The biggest drop a coin can make is 100%, which would drop it down to zero.

I lost 0.5 bitcoin to an altcoin because the dev scammed and ran off with all the money . this kind of behaviour seems almost normal in the world of altcoins though. It doesnt really bother me too much now apart from always thinking i could have that little bit more bitcoin had the dev not been a total scumbag.

Which coin?

The coin was droidz, It had various swings after the dev left and there was the possibility to gain back some of the lost funds through trading but the price finally dropped down to whatever its at now which is something like 50 sats. A new Dev has taken over it now and is trying to make a comeback with it so if anything happens with it , it might be worth jumping back onboard. I bought in at ico and it never went back to ico price after launch if i recall.

Oh yeah, that was another dev that scammed drz as well, the first dev who created it scammed and ran off with the bitcoin then finally we got hold of a dev that looked like he could turn things around and then just as things where looking up i think it weas bittrex who sent the dev the old coins off the exchange instead of destroying them and then dev dumped them and took all the bitcoin he could. There is a new dev working on it now though so you never know, Might make a come back yet.

One candidate would be trump coin. After the election it might just die too. Or if trump loose it will also die or if he won and after his term it will soon die. It should die anyway along with donald if possible.
