Hey guys, so my old mobo died on me. It was a foxcon board and worked well mining off of mini pci-e slots.
However this new board will not detect any of my gpus while on the mini pci-e slots. Regular pci-e slots work. Any advice?

BOARD: MSI NF750-G55
PIC-E extender cables
Win7 32
ATI 5870's

Thanks!

er...wat?

I sure don't see any mini-PCIe sockets in the photos of that board on newegg:

I've never heard of an extender cable for mini-PCIe...

Edit: Do you mean that the x1 slots are not detecting your cards?

Maybe you need to jumper A1 to B17:

Yes that is exactly what I meant. I thought those were called mini pci-e, but now thinking about it mini is for laptops right? Thank you. I will give that jumper a try!

OK new problem. Now my 5970 go dead on both cores after about 20 minutes if that wire is in place. That's really weird but it seems to be the problem. I dont really know what to do about that. Any chance it could be the fact Im running latest SDK? (i think, just downloaded the driver installer and used whatever it installed)

are you using powered extenders..?

no but the only card on an extender is a single underclocked 5850. The 5970 and 5870 are on the main PCI-e slots.
