SARCoin 1.5.0 now available on Github

Windows, OSX, Raspberry Pi binaries will be available in the coming days. Ubuntu 16.04 binaries are available now, and if you are the type that compiles from source, the code on github is good to go.

Version 1.5.0 includes

  *  Proof-of-Stake reward increases to 5% starting at block 190000
  *  Proof-of-Stake performance optimizations
  *  Proof-of-Stake balanced to make staking fair for users with smaller balances
  *  Inflation control
  *  Bootstrap optimizations
  *  Remove centralized checkpoint broadcasting
  *  Disabled IRC peer finding
  *  Better BSD support

You will need to update to the new version before block 190000.

There is quite a lot of fud flying around regarding this project and my partners. I feel I have more than proven myself to be an ethical, and honest developer. My open source code is used in well over a hundred projects, and I have helped fix a countless number of coins when their chains have forked, or become frozen, free of charge. I also spend a lot of time helping new users of various crypto communities. If you have any doubt about me, or this project, simply don't participate. I wouldn't be involved if I had any doubt that my partners have the best of intentions.

We are hosting a conference at the Fibes building in Seville, Spain on the first of october. We have some great speakers lined up (myself included). I will update more on this in the near future.

We will also be doing a presentation in Hanoi, Vietnam, on the 24th of August. I look forward to meeting the Vietnamese SARCoin community!

I will provide updates on this hopefully later this week. Our designer has been away on holiday and we want everything to look pretty. I'm also still finalizing the last speaker. The current confirmed speakers are fairly well known in the altcoin space and will be discussing things such as PoW/PoS and non currency use cases for blockchains

The event is hosted by Krypto Commerce International. The first half of the conference will be education focused, part of our krypto akademy project, covering blockchain technology as a whole. The second half of the event will mostly be sarcoin/poolminers focused, as we will have some big announcements/demonstrations to make.

The only exchange we are on is Bittrex I would recommend purchasing there if you are interested and familiar with markets.

You can also invest via poolminers however you would require a ref url, I feel like shilling mine is unethical, but if you know any existing users you are welcome to use theirs.

I wouldnt mind using your ref link Smiley

Something I would also like to mention as it slipped my mind earlier, is when starting, we contacted the ministry of finance inquiring whether we needed to declare incoming and outgoing bitcoin transactions, they replied with no. We felt this was counter productive for legitimizing crypto to regulators so have been declaring everything from day one. We also inquired regarding VAT on referral payouts (also in BTC), they responded with only for users in Spain (where we are registered), for spanish users we take care of this for them automatically, the VAT for their payouts is paid, under their name. For users outside of Spain, you will need to find out about what rules apply for your region.

We currently comply with all financial, anti money laundering and anti terrorist funding regulations in europe. We are also doing our best to help shape future regulations to ensure crypto businesses can thrive.

Vietnam update.

We are rescheduling the conference in Hanoi originally planned for this 25th of this month, most likely to the 28th (still finalizing), I will be speaking at this event.

The Vietnam team are also hosting a conference in Ho Chi Minh, on the 13th of August.
