Anyone else is going to hold while people try to short the halving?

I see all those people saying how they will try to short the market. I think this is a very stupid idea. You sell at 750 thinking "well that's it", by tomorrow when I wake up, we will be correcting hard at 600s again".

But then, you wake up and price is 850 and you feel suicidal.

That's why it's better to hold. With Bitcoin, you NEVER know where the ceiling is. Nailing is being lucky, and I don't want to rely on that much luck, I value my bitcoins too much to gamble them like that.

I don't short because $650 is the new bottom. I can see the uptrend continue from here.

If you get suicidal at 850 after selling at 750... maybe trading isn't for you? I mean, here you didn't even lose any money -- you get suicidal because you didn't make any money.
What do you do when you actually lose money?
And by "lose," I mean lose more than ~15% of your stake, which is what we're talking about here?

It is not good time to sell because all these are tricks to confuse people to enter in panic buying/selling.I sold some of my holding at 750 $ and then luckily bought back at 580 $.Now I am in safe period and really don't care much.There is a huge increase is due that can be just before of right after halving of blocks.Once all is done then price will be under 650 $ this is what I am preparing myself for.

I am gonna hold during halving and short time after it because I base my observation on what happened with previous halving.
Right after 1st bitcoin halving bitcoin price didn't immediately go up like crazy and I expect this scenario is going to repeat this time as well.
We will see longer market correction and even higher bitcoin price in the 2nd half of 2016.

Being a long term hodler, what traders do day to day, week to week, month to month, makes no difference to me. Whatever happens to the price day to day, week to week, month to month, year to year also makes no difference to me. My sights are set well far into the future so I don't bother too much about who is shorting what or when.

Your bad luck but i am lucky that some of my bitcoin sold when the price is hit at 750 value its enough for me because the price is instantly increase in that price im shocked in that time so i wait in few days and decided to sell some to make a profit and thinking that the price will decrease and i am right now made a profit and buy some bitcoins again to increase my bitcoins in my wallet..

Its good for traders but as an investor I will hold my coins for $1200 or higher,pump will happen after few months of halving as we have seen in 2013.

Thats a good idea but we don't know if the price will hit again at that price but if we are lucky to see that price i think its a minute that we will see it in the market and better to ready your coins to convert.. so that you will not late to sell it

too many high expectations during this halving and if everybody decide to holding all their bitcoins and waiting untill the halving to sell it i think we going to see panic selling and the prices also will be dumped and for me if they believe short trade will good for them leave it as it is and for those who believe long term good for you be assured with what you're doing

It's pretty annoying when you sell at a low price when there is a bear trap around. So my plan is simply holding the coins as long as I can until the price is at an unsustainable level and then dumping it.

when trading you have to learn to accept losses too. but also this doesn't look like a loss it is missed opportunities and since we can't see the future we will always miss a lot of opportunities and there is nothing you can do about it.

i will not sell my coins just after the halving. i will wait a few more months to see what happens. because price cannot sky rocket in one halving day. so yes its better to hold your coins for long term to enjoy good profits.
