50btc for something that makes 250usd a day.... thats would be an insult. To answer the other question, they work perfectly, he is just one of those ppl that have plenty, he ordered them for a thrill. How much did people pay in btc when they ordered those ? like 130 btc?
500BTC is fair price for 2.

Good pickup! It's best to do only local trades for ASICs while they are still in high demand and short supply. Be VERY careful as most people selling ASICs or even reselling them are probably scammers. I would never purchase one online from someone other than direct from the source or if they have a long history on the forums and a reasonable OTC record. In fact, reselling Avalons and BFL ASICs might be the next biggest scam to hit the forums.

If I were local to him, I'd offer 50 BTC each.

Is this sarcasm? Because I am local to you (Los Angeles), and I would gladly come pick up your Avalon for 50 BTC Smiley

2 blocks is 50. That's pretty impressive, are you strictly solo mining now?

Yes.

Are you solo-mining through your own pool software or directly to bitcoind?

bitcoind + eloipool.  cgminer does not support direct-mining to bitcoind.  It appears to work, but eventually HTTP problems and other oddness appears.

Luke-Jr's BFGMiner should support ASIC mining directly with bitcoind, but I think Luke-Jr is still looking for a volunteer to test BFGMiner + Avalon.

I'll volunteer (sacrifice) one of my batch #1 Avalon units to test BFGMiner, assuming they ever arrive.

I didn't say that's my best offer. Tongue  But if he doesn't like the unit, I'd take it off his hands for 50.

I wouldn't sell mine at the moment for even 100 BTC.
