PM'd. These aren't worth $600 anymore. Even with the trade in, you'll lose out waiting if you plan on upgrading. ASICs upgraded now probably won't be shipped until maybe September. Might as well put your money into BTC and ride the wave.

I would like to buy a few singles. Im willing to pay $500 plus shipping. I can pay with paypal if verified or coins with escrow.
I dont wanna pay more than $500 for used equipment. Especially with jalapenos around the corner.
Maybe somebody doesnt wanna keep mining. Maybe they want $500 instead.

rockso, your attitude will not increase the likely hood of you getting sales, your the one acting immauture here. Your offer isn't reasonable. Why on Earth would anyone pay $600 for BFL FPGA, when I can go out and pay $600 for a 30 GH ASIC mining unit. You may say I could mine for 3 months then ship them in, but I think its more profitable to turn them in now, because you would get ASIC sooner, then turning them in 3 months later, and getting asic miners another 2 months later. Paying $599 Now to get an ASIC miner therefore would be a better choice then buying your FPGA units. Anyone who buys these are insane or out of their mind. At most I would see $500 cash per one, as the incentive to receive them, then ship them out for an exchange to profit $50 or so, and even so I don't think its worth it. I would at most offer $400 per one. Highest possible offer I see is $500

I'll say what ever the heck I want (Within reason), and telling others others to stfu, just humiliates your position. If you can't withstand criticizing or can't take in the facts, its you that has to move on, and find some other place. At this moment its best you just lock it, let it fall down, its really you that should move on.

The MO of BTC_GUY is simple and quite effective here. Do some moderate trades and actually complete them. Then do some bigger stuff or a large number of medium trades at once and scam em. He never uses escrow. And he has scammed many people over thousands of dollars.

Since he's refused to answer, I'll just leave this here: rockso/retropcdos/BTCGuy's posting with his pic of his BFLs sitting on a glass table with metal frame and floor tile visible underneath. Click the pics for larger "CSI" versions https://i.imgur.com/5EPfaBy.jpgretropcdos/BTCGuy's recent ebay listings with the same table/floor: https://i.imgur.com/2ObvAEF.jpghttps://i.imgur.com/XgWVpVR.jpgAnyone dealing with rockso should be well aware that they are dealing with a known scammer. I agree! The only proof is an identical table resting on a similar hardwood floor, of which the boards runs in the same direction. Could be any house in Chicago or, for that matter, anywhere else in the world. Has anybody here ever met BTC_GUY in person? Since rockso claims he's not RetroPCDOS, and I may have a pic of RetroPCDOS, perhaps we can put this issue to rest. Let's play! ~Bruno K~

Trust me! Besides, if I wasn't on your side I would ask what are the odds of two different guys in Chicago having the same table, same floor, and both affiliated with Bitcoin. Then I would ask what are the odds of two tables having randomly designed tiles that match. And even if the individual tiles were stamped in X quantities, what are the odds the installers at the plant placed the tiles in exactly the same position. Honestly, the latter question could be done mathematically knowing the number of tiles, but two perfectly identical tables in Chicago resting on identical floors own by a Bitcoiner is what I would ask what are the odds if I wasn't on your side. Also, I would be demanding that theymos give you the scammer tag immediately given the above, but since I'm on your side--trust me--I wouldn't do that. Thank you for playing.

Kudos to Qbert, and others, on the detective work. I was semi-interested in this post when it first went up, but I've been following the turn of events since then. Thank god for the scammer tag on this site. It's just too bad you can't autotag accounts based on IP or such. I wonder how many "Rockso" accounts there are out there.

You sold your integrity, he might be "ugly", but there is no such thing as "you"; "you" are no more..
nobody is perfect. we all have our faults. i may have let greed take over but i have no hate in me. i personally think people with hate in them and wish bad things for others are in a class of their own. one worse than greed. but that is just my opinion. we all see things differently. what you mean i am no more? Meet me at Tavern on Rush. I will pay $550 a piece. No funny stuff. Deal?
my price is $600. dont waste my time with offers. i will consider meeting you face to face. if you want to try something funny be prepared for the worst.

im going to make this even more interesting. if somebody buys these all the money will go to charity. every dollar. i will get nothing. we will use a different staff member for every single. that staff member will be trusted to make a donation for $600 on their credit card and post a screenshot to prove it. buyer sends coins to staff. i send single to another staff. that staff confirms the single works. single goes to buyer. charity gets donation.

Actually he is just super trolling this board and his victims. He never had any intention of paying anyone back. His statements prove that.

I think asking $600 is more than the market will bear, especially now given BFL's uncertain future.
$500-550 was more the ballpark sale price a few months back, when BFL looked more rosy (and thus trade-in options looked attractive). Given how things look now, even that may be asking too much.
If he actually wants to sell any, I think he will need to come down.

i will consider meeting you face to face. if you want to try something funny be prepared for the worst.
This would make me 110% unwilling to meet face to face. Threatening someone to "be prepared for the worst" tells me that you will go into the meeting on-edge, and ready to lash out at any moment if you thought something was awry. Anyone in their right mind wouldn't take the risk in meeting with this guy. The fact that you say you're going to pay back every penny that you swindled and scammed is one thing. Actually doing that is another. Verifiable transaction IDs or it didn't happen. [edit] Knowing now that this guy is a known scammer, and he lied and concealed this fact under the premise of trying to sell more equipment(possibly another scam), why hasn't his Rockso account been labeled as such as well?

Wait, did I just read this correctly? A guy tries to sell BFL FPGA Singles for way more than it's current value under a different name. Bitcoinian's sees-through his scam and identity. The scammer still claims he is neither BTCGUY or RETROPCDOS but finally gives up and still continues on trying to sell the singles?
Then he starts bitching at people complaining about how he's being hated on? I don't understand that logic. If a person scams someone, should the scammer expect the victim to show him love and bend over backwards for more buttsex? As a community, do we side with the scammer by default just because he's telling a sob story? I think not. Scammers are like trolls, just worst.

I do not know whether you, BTC guy, have true intentions of righting past wrongs and regaining people's trust or otherwise - but if so, acting with intentions to deceive, such as willingly posting under a different account to conceal your identity, would not help your cause.

I've been reading this thread as well - it's awesome - kind of like CSI.
I would actually be interested in buying these for $400 or so but concerned there's no guarantee they work properly, aren't stolen, etc.

If they exist, some would consider them stolen. They were paid for with other peoples money and never delivered. And of course will he send them to you? He failed to send them to his other 'customers'.

I took those pictures for him and sold some of his videocards and a few other items for him a couple months back as I was paid for doing so. Long since receive my money back from him plus interest and profit for selling his other items for him. But to make it very clear I/Retropcdos have nothing to do with his scams or previous scams, he his own person.

I known him for a while, found find on Craigslist. Bought all kinds of stuff from him, LCD'S tv, laptops and computer parts, CPU'S, GPU'S, found find on Craigslist, intill disagreement and money that was owed and he moved. Untill a year ago, then the three people show up looking for him, as he use my name, which I didn't know of, or approved of, but I guess his way to get back, as I made his life hell for a while and not on good terms I just wanted payback during that time. But one guy knew how he look and his real name as he dealt with him and was investigating him, but he didn't know where he lived as he gave him a few fake address, as they been looking for him for a while. I remember his last address, once he told me his real name and realize it was him and then zabasearch him, they when to the addresses I gave them intill they found him a few hours later around the area and they confronted him, which is how they took the picture of him and then reported back giving me with the info. I then call him and when over to his real address after a few time of going back and forth finally came to terms, receive my money back plus some and started selling a few GPU's for him, as he ask if I could and charge him a fee of course and took a pictures of the singles for him so he can sell on his own, as didn't want to deal with them, as he didn't want to leave them.
