These look very nice, were are they made?

Will production continue past halving with 12.5btc bitcoin blocks being made?

The physical block of Titanium was made in China, and custom designed by BTCC in every aspect.
Final assembly (stickers, private key) is done by me personally.

The bitcoins are newly mined from the blockchain by BTCC Pool; they're straight from the block reward, part of the coinbase transaction.

Yes, after the block halving, we will continue to make Bitcoin Blocks (if they sell!), but those would be:
- 3 stars
- with 12.5 BTC in block rewards (plus varying amounts of transaction fees)

So the 25+ BTC Bitcoin Blocks would become extinct and no longer produced after this Saturday!

thanks,
Bobby

At what value will the coin be declared upon shipping? Will it be the full value or the winning bid minus the BTC contained in the block?

I do not intend to pay 5BTC+ fees upon import so this is quite important to know if I want to join the bidding Smiley

We will declare customs value of $100 for the Titanium collectible, and ship it via FedEx or DHL, and signature required for delivery.
(we will self-insure the item, and won't as shipper to insure.)

thanks,
Bobby

I think I missed it.  I can't find what the 2 star / 3 star means.
It's a marking on the coins/blocks

I'm not quite sure, but if I had to guess, there's gonna be another one for each halving
(1 star for 50BTC blocks, even though imaginary, 2 stars for 25BTC blocks, the current ones, 3 stars for 12.5BTC blocks, next week and after that 4 stars for 6.25BTC blocks in 4 years)

I am going to have to withdraw my bid of 27.5BTC due to missing the auction term for payment within 24hrs. In my initial interest linked here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1531149.40 I stated I would need longer than 24hrs to make payment, I certainly could not acquire 27.5BTC in that timeframe, I don't have anywhere near that much in cold storage.

Yes understood.  Given that we won't ship until around July 15th, I'll change the payment terms to be within 3 days, 72 hours.

Feel free to re-bid.

thanks,
Bobby

Great design! I was going to buy one of Casascius 25 BTC but was hesitant front he trust side/ hacking odf the coin side.
what kind of information do you provide to give bidders trust?
25 BTC is a lot to risk in this scenario so please give me some details and I may bid.

Sorry what I meant to say is this. When I started making physical coins I put my identity on line etc to give people piece of mind and I was only selling small amounts lol. To trust someone with 25 BTC takes a lot of trust. so Why can we trust you? Do you have registered business? Identity of people? Anything?

It's BTC China a renowned Bitcoin Exchange and Miner and now a Mint as well. Bobby Lee, the CEO, is Charlie Lee's brother who is behind Litecoin.

Bobby has been promoting Bitcoin all over China for a long time, he speaks at conferences and events around the world, he is a well known and respected figure in the space.

So I think it's pretty safe to say that they would not want to ruin the image of the company nor their personal image.

keeping a close eye on this - its very nice looking, but i expect it to sell for ,30BTC since the BTCC shop allows you to have blockchain messages included (which i see as worth at least a 0.5BTC premium for this sort of item)

@BTCC: if i were to order online, is it possible to provide my own address for the block, ideally in BIP32 format?

24" PCI-E cables with 16AWG wires and stripped ends - great for server PSU mods, best prices https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=563461
No longer a wannabe - now an ASIC owner!

It depends on the value they give it on the tax form. I assume they'll leave out the bitcoin value (just like with their other products).

Bobby has previously stated pick ups are possible.

And he's advised he will insure this for $100 - therefore extremely minimal import charges.
