If gambling is illegal in your country, would you still gamble?

Definitely not. Why would you break a law just to fulfill your addiction? A ban might be good for you even, if you are an addicted gambler. But it doesn't mean that you can't access the site, it just means that it is less easier for you to access the site.

Take a look at PD - they have tons of US players although they forbid them from playing with real deposits. But still - lots of highrollers are from the US.

In some countries online gambling is only allowed at licensed casino and sportsbook websites and with the boom of the Bitcoin gambling phenomenon some people prefer to play at Bitcoin counterparts due to less stringent registration procedures and no ID required for withdrawing funds. However if gambling is banned in physical and online casinos in the country I would probably not bother to use VPN or other methods to get access because the risk of going to jail is very real. But Bitcoin is still unlicensed and people who need to get their gambling fix fast can enjoy betting with coins instead.

I cannot say that it is that simple-breaking the law because of addiction.
For example poker and many gambling games is forbidden in my country,
but that mean's for proffesional poker players who can really earn money there, that when they are playing it,it is just an addiction ? i dont think so.

To answer this simple question just think if your country has left hand driving , would you make changes in your car and make it right hand driving in your country?

I think we do not have to disobey the rules of our masters, with that we can see the peace in our country and so the peace all over the world, those who disobey their master and their government are actually the agents of the destruction of peace in the world.

I really hope that was sarcasm. Who can be another mans master in a free world? Besides that, by my logic, even if my country was to impose such rules, i would
still gamble, because the action itself is performed on a server in another country with different rules  Roll Eyes I just make the clicks here

Only if there is no chance of being caught. I gamble just for fund and it's not worth getting in trouble for it. The great thing about bitcoin is it's easy to gamble anonymously.

If gambling was illegal in my country then my isp will block all gambling sites so I cant access it directly but I can use vpn or other proxies services to access the blocked site. And of course I will still gamble even if its illegal in my country. And as long as I dont refer my friends to follow me, I think that will be safe.

I believe gambling does good for society, because it helps local governments raise revenue.

Legal gambling has its place in society. Forms of legal gambling, such as casinos and lotteries, help local governments raise revenue that can be used in the community.

Knowing that people love to do what is prohibited, surely they will gamble especially if it's illegal. Here's the reasons I can think of right now:

(a.) Some people want to look like the "cool" one of the group. If someone sees them doing something illegal, they will think he's awesome.

(b.) Most people knows VPN or have read about it, at least. They will surely use it to get another country's IP address and gamble.

(c.) Seriously, if you're a gambling addict you'll find a way to gamble online.

(d.) Gambling (card games, cock fighting, the offline gambling stuffs) are illegal in my place and people are still doing it. They just put a table somewhere and play there. They will just stop whenever the policemen are coming or someone from the authority is going to visit our place.

As for me, I used to gamble a lot. Yep, used to. I stopped gambling so regardless of gambling being legal or illegal, I wouldn't gamble. Maybe at some point I'll be really bored and miss playing gambling. I'll surely find a way to gamble but I wouldn't gamble regularly.

If I can see someone was actually caught that they confiscate his bitcoin then I guess I should start thinking of quitting myself.
But until they can't prove they have the capability to identify which user and who in real life and which gambling site, i may just kept playing still. Gambling isn't my profession though, i just play to pass time and i limit to just very few coins.

I think that you can do other fun think instead of gambling so you do not need it.

Actually it depends on how your perspective on gambling, some of them really want to earn something on gambling. meanwhile others use gambling as one of entertainment, spend their money to get what they deserve. So although it is illegal on each country there are always some people that open that kind of casino just to satisfy our own passion

Maybe with some friends but I do not think that I would gamble because I am not looking forward on going to jail, jail is just not for me.
It would be a good thing for some people if it was made illegal because people would save allot more money then.

If gambling is illegal then why should I gamble? but what if there are now gambling sites? Do you think our country can control sites that have a gamble. I don't think so, and I guess they will not know if you gamble at home.  Cheesy Grin
