No one will sell you a money making machine at an affordable price. Your only choice is to wait for Avalon batch #3 to open or pre-order a BFL unit and pray the Bitcoin god.

Sorry.

PS: I have an early Avalon batch #2 order but I want 300BTC for it.

Yes a realize that nobody will sell.

Avalon batch 3 is far away, then it will be alot ASIC and maybe it will not paid it self.

BFL is still in clouds, so nobody know what will be with them...

Your early batch 2 is interesting but 300BTC  is way over my head.

Then I would suggest getting prepared for Batch #3.

Honest question here.

What happens once the difficulty goes up far enough for the ASICs to become... less profitable?
Will BFL, Avalon etc. sell them cheaper?

Because apart from the hardcore fans (with the sufficient funds) I can't see them selling that many more.

- I do translations! PM me if interested -

No one is going to sell you a machine that generates around 8.1 BTC per day or a little less even 300BTC is been a cheap offer for one. Only way you going to get one at the low price is batch 3 or batch 4 depending on how any their is to order and no doubt their will be a small gap to buy them

Technology will evolve.

This is the correct answer for the question of Gen 1 ASIC hardware, when it becomes unprofitable.    Me personally, will continue to run some gear always to help secure the network.

I thought of that, but there's a lot of risk involved.

I would have to wait for batch 3 to order again, and who knows when that will open.  At the rate things are moving along it could be a while.  By the time batch 3 delivery rolls around, the landscape could look very different.  A few months is a long time in Bitcoin land.

Then there's the question of even being able to get an order into batch 3.  The way the previous 2 batch sales have gone, I wouldn't want to count on it.

Its hard to wait until batch 3 for Avalon is opened, because we dont know what will be with difficuty.

If someone still changes his mind and sold me 1 unit from batch 2 i would be very gratefull and happy.

You can pm me if you want.

We shall see.
