I still find them useful. Sure, there are better ways to earn, but sometimes you cannot do any of them. Others, you can work online while you do some faucets.

Funny thing is many of those who say it is a waste of time, are expecting Bitcoin to get to 10,000 $ (in which case the "tiny ammounts" earned through faucets would be worthwhile).

Haha! That is funny. Though, I don't see it getting that high.

Ive never wasted my time with faucets but my friend has , hes spent days and days collecting faucets and all he got was dust amounts. To me it is no where near worth the time. Id earn more by going over time and searching for loose change on the street and then converting that to bitcoin. All its useful for is to get something into your wallet to show a balance of anything other than 0. There are easier ways though.

Yes they are. If you keep clicking 24h/day you will only get a couple dollars if you are lucky.

There are too many faucet killer bots too. It is was already impossible to get anything from faucets before and now you can't even find a decent paying one.

I agree that Faucets are the stepping stone of newbies to BTCitcoin. I actually started there, not claiming 24hrs per day but only during my free time. Maybe the reason why several people see faucet a waste of time is because they knew other ways on earning Bitcoin with much higher profit (Ex. Signature campaigns, Trading) and/or because faucets already lowered their rewards unlike before. Yet, I still appreciate what faucets can give to me even I wasn't able to claim there often these past few months. That small amount I claimed and saved from faucets before gave me a higher profit today since bitcoin already have a bigger value. Still, thanks to faucets, especially to those that I used that were trusted and high paying ones Cheesy

The way the faucet system works at the moment, they are quiet useless.
The bots would have to go away, adsense would have to reestablish faucets.
Then there is a chance that they are worth visiting again.

Now the faucet owners are just loosing too much money to bots and earn too less by ads.
The effect of those conditions is that the time a user puts in faucets in no way matches what he gets in return of satoshis.
Even newbies very soon realise that connection.
And then all those scamy faucets rose up with the ridiulously high payout ranges who do not pay anything in the end.

I really see no bright future for faucets at the moment.

I use only one faucet frebitco.in and I click it beacuse I'm online an it isn't a problem. Sometimes I win a larger amount and I use that for transtaction fees. I play it also beacuse I hope to win the jackpot of 0.3 BTC, it's free, why not?

The Donaldcoin one is great too! but I don't know if the bots are messing with it or not.

I think I would just do a manual payout, if I was a faucet owner; this way I can review each account.

Advertising website faucets is really good, payments can be good, I have used faucet satoshis gained to do this, not ponzi money. thats for marlboroza's benefit

Just make sure, you do not see the same advert doing the rounds, find a new faucet then advertise it, worked for me many times, great passive income.

Well, advertising faucets in lists and sites wont take you much time when you build up your site. Others are clicking and you get your ref share, so you don't have to waste your time in faucets, and it can be profitabile. But OP created thread "faucets are real waste of time?", and not "how to earn from faucets without visiting them  Wink"
So share with us, how much time do you spend daily clicking on faucets?

Four to five hours per day, sometimes longer, that was just a rough guess.
So, no waste of my time, I suggested adverts so people would learn, I like to help, that is why.

And its gone.

I can say that faucet is real waste of time if you use it alone. You have to refer some people to earn decent amount of bitcoins. And earnings from faucet can't satisfy you because in single claim you earn less than half cent in average. So, to earn atleast dollar you have to visit hundreds of faucet. And there is plenty of scam faucets, messagges about exceeded safety limits and hard captchas. I'm visiting few legendary faucets every hour, but from others I'm claiming only when I have some free time. It's many better ways to earn bitcoins than sit all day on faucets to earn maximum few dollars.

Yes, you have probably read such a comment many times so far. Especially some high forum ranked users are posting comments similar to that. Although i can not agree with it i, respect others opinion. Simply, some of us are faucet user and some are not. I personally met with bitcoin through faucets, and i still use them often since i am running a Xapo faucet list, therefore i am very active at this particular part of the forum. But why one would spend time reading topics here when they think it is a real waste of time? Is it possible that they are faucet owners but not active users, then why would someone shit where they eat?

I like faucets and i use them daily. I truly believe they are introducing a lot of new users to Bitcoin every single day.
faucets brought me a total of 0.1 btc for sure in this 5 years im doing it. Claiming! not ownling a faucet thats different. a good faucet will start to make money after 4/5 months but then you need to get your traffic stable so in the beginning its working with losses and hope you get them back in the end.. most faucets just dont live that long cause they dont know what they are doing

You can use the faucets to build a base amount which could be useful for your future ventures.

Use the forum to learn more and even more, do more research. There is no such thing as instant money - you have to help yourselves by studying, researching/analyzing about bitcoin, altcoins, ico and so on.

There are a lot of ways to make money, which might be simple, but not easy. It requires time and effort.

Have you got your social accounts and website ready - which might be helpful to make money initially - perhaps you might gain some referrals.

You are talking about past times, sure, whoever claimed from faucet 5 years ago made profit for sure and whoever bought bitcoin in 2009 for 100$ is now sitting on 200 million dollars. But it is wrong way of thinking!
