now sold  Grin

Hiya guys, I have some units I need sold.

Please note, There will not be any hosting sold with these units as these units are being replaced with S9 arriving soon.

hosted at toomim at Washington DC

so either pay to have them shipped to you, or pay hosting. they need to go so I will entertain offers.

the miners to the best of my knowledge are as follows.

1) batch 1, Run sweet from day one, with PSU. Adv 4.587Th over 1 month
2) batch 8, runs nicely, slightly over clocked, with PSU, adv 5.024 over 1 month
3) batch 19, has one chip not reporting, nothing noticeable, does not come with PSU as I just bought a platt for it for $110. Adv 4.833 over 1 month

What say you? $1200 for all? theirs $160 of PSU there.

hosting prices vary as to the term you require, on a monthly it can be $95 Kwh, 6 months is (I think) $80Kwh, these units pull the normal 1.4-1.5Kwh per unit.

Thanks for looking.

Additional, I will accept most forms of payment (BTC/backs/WU etc..) but not reversible ones like PP thank you.

I can confirm most of what squal1066 has said, with a few corrections:

1) batch 1, Run sweet from day one, with PSU. Adv 4.587Th over 1 month
2) batch 8, runs nicely, slightly over clocked, with PSU, adv 5.024 over 1 month
3) batch 19, has one chip not reporting, nothing noticeable, does not come with PSU as I just bought a platt for it for $110. Adv 4.833 over 1 month

Our monthly rate is currently $90/kW/month.

The PSUs included will work fine on 200V or above, but will only be enough to power 2/3 of an S7 if you only have 120V available. If you wish to run them on 120V, we can provide additional PSUs for $80 for a 90% efficient model or $110 for a 93.5% efficient 80+ Platinum model.

We metered #3 at 1.43 kW. We have not metered #1 or #2 recently, but can do so upon request.

Hosting bitcoin miners for $65 to $80/kW/month on clean, cheap hydro power.

So hosting will be $128.70 per month and it will generate $111 per month in revenue after the halving? So like negative $17 per month. Or I'm I missing something here

This is a matter of opinion, I work it out to be costing 107.25 with a yeald of 207.06, but this if you pay for long hosting giving lowest rates and using allsocomp calculator.

are you aware that bitcoin is not stable price? in the years I have been mining I have paid more than the cost of a coin, but horded them till price rises then cash out.

This is quite a long debate your opening up as I believe mining is not profitable for day/week traders, I like to hoard coins and cash out when spikes.

but everyone has a different way of looking at and doing things.

Hmm, your yield of $207.06 is today.  Tomorrow that becomes $103.

I like your strategy of hoarding coins and selling on highs.  It is a great way to artificially increase the yield on units in the hole, but really the strategy is only sound for individuals who already own equipment and are struggling to ROI.  It isn't really a solid strategy for someone buying new (used) equipment.

At 0% network growth each unit will produce roughly 1 BTC in 6 month.  With equipment costs and monthly fees it would cost $1,000 in that six months to run the S7.  So buyers are paying $1,000 for 1 BTC to arrive over the next 6 months.  Why wouldn't a prospective buyer simply purchase that same 1 BTC for $650 on Coinbase and get it today?  They would save $350 and receive their coin immediately.

Another way to think about it... If I have $1,000 to spend I can buy your miner and get 1 BTC in 6 months.  Or I can go to Coinbase and immediately purchase 1.5 BTC.  Now when BTC spikes I have 50% more coin to sell for the very same initial investment.

You would likely be better off having these shipped to you for resale on eBay.  It really only makes sense to run an S7 on free or near free electricity.
