As of August 1, Coinbase’s Canadian payments provider, Vogogo, will be shutting down its payment processing business. When this occurs, Coinbase will no longer be able to support Canadian EFT transfers, Interac transfers, or the storage of customer CAD on Coinbase.

All customer CAD stored with Coinbase MUST be withdrawn off site or converted to digital currency by July 29th.

If you hold CAD in your Coinbase account, you must liquidate your CAD holdings before July 29th by either:

creating a withdrawal to your linked bank account or
exchanging stored CAD for digital currency.
If you are unable to withdraw or exchange your CAD before July 29th, Coinbase will suspend your account and significant fees will be incurred for CAD withdrawals.
We are disappointed to lose the ability to offer these payment methods for our Canadian customers and hope to provide additional payment methods in the future. We appreciate your support during this change.

Agree, I don't think that CoinBase wants it to be this way.  They are trying to remain within law.

Your title is very funny, but i cannot read it in your post. You title seem to say that Coinbase has a grudge against Canadians bitcoin users but if we are going to read your post coinbase is good mannered when they inform canadian customers that they can no longer provide payments. Is coinbase have a hatred or hidden anger to Canadians haha, its a funny one. Maybe there are other reasons why coinbase can no longer offer their services to Canada. I think its somehow political but Im not sure. THere could be no other reasons behind it, it could be also due to economic reasons. But hope somebody could give a clue as to why they dont involve Canada any further in their services.

Coinbase banned Canada after Germany very recently but it comes what rules and regulation they have to provide the best service but I think this is not good for other countries too as they can any country like this so that it will be better to find more better exchange to trade.

Real American here, can confirm. We use North Mexico Canada to store our skis and snow blowers for the summer, that's about it.

your statement regarding your topic is showing that coinbase and canadian have quarrel, But I'm not sure about it. Or there only have a little misinterpretation about the customer which is the canadian.Aside from that so far coinbase up to now are continually doing a good things to their majority customers.

Coinbase will probably find their own payment provider for Canadians, out maybe move totally to another provider. I don't believe Coinbase will want to give up all their Canadian customers just for something like this.

Coinbase is a cryptocurrency wallet,not fiat currency wallet,like paypal and skrill.
