Question: I'm a typical Ethereum investor who is about to get forked.  I've never been forked before, and was wondering if I could choose the type of forking I'm about to receive, what kind of forking should I ask/hope for

If you were in my shoes, how would you prefer to be forked?

And who are the miners who will ultimately decide our fate? Anybody here mining Ethereum, who we can appeal to?

I kind of hope it is soft, because I can't see much benefit to a hard one.
