Please check the replied posts to this thread. Thanks!

Update:

This thread was previously knows as "How to build reputation/trust ? Help needed." with the content below, but with some effort and with help of others like you (special thanks to BCB), I have a few rep, which may be found in postings below. So I am now changing the title of the thread, and will continue to use this as my reference.

If you are here and reading this, thanks for your time for checking out my references.

Best wishes,
shibaji

================================================================================================

Hi!

I am new to bitcointalk, and it seems that everyone is very skeptical about selling BTC to newbie (of course, for legitimate reason). I have tried to prove my credential outside of the forum (in other forum and ebay), but that did not cut it.

I posted these:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=153300
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=153301

but no encouraging response.

Finally I had one successful transaction with BCB using chase quickpay, but afterwards even he did not respond to my query about using paypal gift - of course, I am assuming he is not interested in that route.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=94513.msg1633309#msg1633309

In fact, in the process I was contacted by daniel_zane - who seems to be a scammer himself! :-)

So, here I am seeking advise from experienced/seasoned bitcointalk members on how to build trust, and if anyone is willing to help me to do so. It is just very easy for me to use paypal. I have no problem disclosing any information you want from me with links to whatever you need.

Thank you!

Lent 10BTC to OP using AM shares as escrow. Everything were repaid in due time , and would be earlier had not Coinbase slowed his transfer.

Thanks!

The only way to build trust, is to "build it", not "beg for it"...

To "build" trust...
 - Provide as much (real) information about yourself, your location, your credentials...
 - Ask the same, within reason, from those you intend to deal with. (eg, showing that you don't intend to deal with, "just any untrusted sources".)
 - Ask those who, have earned your trust, to kindly post some kind/honest words about the experience with you. (That is not a 'testimonial' hosted on your site. That makes you look like an untrustworthy person. Eg, forums, blogs, social sites by dropping your name, not by spamming ads.)
 - Be patient... If you seem pushy, that reflects as being "untrustworthy"... (eg, gimme, gimme, gimme, why, why, why... Instead simply ask... What "other" information would you like me to offer you, before you "feel comfrotable", with this transaction. As opposed to saying, what can I do to make "you trust me"... Makes you seem untrustworthy again.)
