ethereum has a wallet?

I want to get some from an exchange but I wanted to know before I do if it works like bitcoin where you would need a wallet to store them instead of leaving them on the exchange account.
Any insight would be appreciated.

Yes it's called MIST.

If using yobit, you can keep it in that wallet.
You can go to ethereum's site to find the greatest wallet. If you download the wallet, you will then have to download their entire blockchain though.
