Five dollars for an ID to use, including collateral. Awesome deal!

I'm not talking about your security measures. I mean the whole concept of lend/loaning minuscule amounts of BTC just for the purpose of "building a rep" is severely flawed. It stinks of building cred to scam all the better in the future.

Bitcoin-keys.com required users to send a scan of a I.D. and the CC they used with all but the last 4 digits blocked out.
The problem is anyone can get I.D.'s or scans of I.D's. So that does not really matter if they send you that or not, What I found to be the best practice is to mail them a letter with a code, require them to mail a letter back with a copy of the I.D. coming from the post marked address. If the I.D. and return address must match if they do not require a bill, with the users name and address on it.
I doubt anyone will give you collateral if they default or can not pay it sucks but still.

And the Biggest thing is trust your gut, scammers will tend to go along with any terms you have.

The biggest problem here is that the lending amount is $3.50. The time and associated risks is too high for anyone to do that.

by the time you earn enough lending fees to order a Jalapeno, and get said Jalapeno shipped, the difficulty will have jumped to the point where you'll be making bit-pennies a day with it.

LOL the whole time I was thinking he was giving out 3.5BTC loans, and I was wondering why everyone was so critical. Three Dollars and Fifty Cents? You want to help a noobie buy a soda?
