Since starting this project, countless individuals from all over the world have come forward to translate, market, and even code, asking nothing in return except that we build a successful platform. I assume you have a written contract with RIOT for usage of their API for settling matches for gambling. Cause I'd LOVE to see that. Maybe together with an explanation to why you would use your own currency instead of Bitcoin for the project, and some assurances, linkedin accounts and quotes from your advisors and team.

I'll just email your advisors personally and ask some questions.

For clarification, in the US other jurisdictions we will be operating in our service is not considered gambling. Our platform is not supporting any gambling activities from a functional standpoint either because that relies on an element of chance (randomizer, dice roll, etc.). Rather, our platform specializes on skill based wagering which is on the opposite side of the risk/reward spectrum. You need to have the skills if you want to compete and win. We are referencing the United States Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act of 2006:

We also have a full time attorney working with our team to ensure that our platform and our users do not violate any of the Terms Of Use for the eSports Titles we will support. Remaining compliant is key to the longevity and scalability of the project.

There are many differences but on the whole they are creating a platform for developers to make gaming and casino applications on. Our project is focusing on eSports with our blockchain based rewards platform built on ethereum. We differentiate ourselves from the competition by only allowing skill based wagering on yourself, as opposed to wagering on others or betting on games of chance (i.e. gambling on casino style games). FirstBlood's function is not considered gambling in the United States and in many other jurisdictions throughout the world.

Unlike other projects, we've also gone the extra mile by making sure we are complying with existing laws to ensure that the project can thrive. Other projects are violating gambling laws, issuing securities, or have no sort of legal counsel at all. These actions not only have the potential to kill the project, but put the users and the founders at risk for criminal prosecution. This field has come under a lot of scrutiny in the last few months and we'd rather not get caught up in that mess, for the sake of the project and our users.

We also have our cross-title eSports Integrity System that includes Witness nodes to verify game data and our distributed Jury Voting Pool to deal with alleged cases of hacking, cheating, or toxic behavior. This is something that no other similar project has attempted to do (on or off the Blockchain).
