Who believed Bitcoin would go to $1200 when it was only $2 and its all time high was only $30?
I did.You should be having a good amount if bitcoins by now if you believed that it would rise when the price was just $2.

Even in the event that an attacker gains more than 50% of the network's
computational power, only transactions sent by the attacker could be
reversed or double-spent. The network would not be destroyed.

Its a really really hard prediction to make about bitcoin on next halving which going to happen after 3-4 years. No one can predict correctly even after 3-4 months what will happen. But to choose a number, then i will go with 1500USD will be the price of bitcoin at that time.
For now 1,500 is impossible to happen right now even in halving day.. if bitcoin will grow more in the future. maybe the price will rich that price.. and i hope the price of bitcoin will increase more and more adoption will come so that it will stay long in that price..

Even tho it's purely speculation, i would say anywhere between 1k and 20k USD. The most important thing is that it's highly unlikely for it to be significantly (or even at all) lower than it is now. Reasoning for that is simple; increase in base number of users, increase in transactions per block, and overall opinion of general audience which can no longer claim that bitcoin is a passing "thing". Shouldnt be long til real high profile people and institutions start using it as store of value - and then.. sky is the limit.

I do believe bitcoin will just grow based on the last halving price, even if along this 4 years bitcoin reach 800 or 900 dollars, soo i do believe at 2020 bitcoin will be around 900-1000 dollars value.

Well, maybe it was a year very much. you're right, maybe we do not know what will happen in 2017, but I felt that bitcoin will be growing from year to year, so it can say that bitcoin will be better and more popular in the future especially in 2020, and if in the future it happens halving popular, is already in make sure the price will be over the moon

That year is very far for us to be happen but actually we can't predict tha exact price would bitcoin reach at that year, bitcoin is unpredictable and provably if we can see some success adoption or businesss acceptance well provably the price will rise for that year but if their are certain bad events like hacking of big establishments/sites well we maybe face some price breakdown, so overall thoughs about that year is undefined and big question mark brought to our minds.

i think prediction about bitcoin is not such an easy job, you must have a good experience of bitcoin if you are going to predict, and the other thing is that prediction in advance about 4 or 5 years not such an easy job, but my personal view is that bitcoin will be trading in a very very good price in 2020.

I can say price will be atleast more than $1000 or even near $1500. Still 4 years gap is there so price may even go higher and it may not remain below 1000 anymore by that time.
I think this is probably the most right and realistic guess in the thread. Prices will not go crazy above 5k or even 2k that's just way too high for such a small time gap. Prices will probably be hovering around 1k usd per coin if lucky and nothing went bad for the coin.

Not sure what the price is going to be in 2020 because we still have a long way ahead of us before we finally reach 2020. The price at that point has to be in the thousands because we are waiting so long for that to happen.
True but 2020 is not that far away if you think about it just a little over three years left. I think in those three years we could possibly see a 200$ price advancement every year so in 2020 we will probably be between 1200-1500 usd if everything goes right per coin.

I do not know what is gonna happen with the bitcoin halving in that year but I think if the bitcoin stays growing like this it will be very profitable without any doubts. We should have some patience but we will get rewarded without any doubts.

Price will increase end of story.
Does it matter how much? not really - the fact it increases regardless is fine.
If I were you guys - I would be more grounded. And knowing the history tells a story from zero to what it is today.

Yes I believe in 2020 the price of bitcoin will rise substantially. How nominal I think does not really matter, because the most important thing for me is the price should continue to rise because it would be good for bitcoin users. Due to price increases that will benefit all users bitcoin, and bitcoin is more widely recognized.

I also think the price would be over 1k USD till or after the 2020 halving but 20kUSD is really far and i would rather minimise that marzin and i would say the price of bitcoin at that time will be between 1k USD to 3k USD.But yes its really hard to predict and nothing can be said correctly.

The inflation of bitcoin is only 4 % pa which is somewhat low. As the currency basis grows, the inflation also drops slowly. And after the halving in 2020 the inflation will be around 1.75 % pa which is lower than the inflation target of some very conservative fiat money systems (European Central Bank).
I think it takes a few months now to readjust the price to this period of lower inflation.
It is not the same kind of inflation. I dont think there would happen allot to the price of the bitcoin because i know for sure that the halving will only affect the miners becuase it has nothing to do with the price of the bitcoin you know.
