They control about 93% of the miners.  The other 7% they sold to stupid Americans for too much money and they will never ROI.  Trust me, china owns bitcoin now.  Pretty much Jihan owns bitcoin.

Dude everything is so expensive in Scandinavia and even if the Swedes were sourcing the hardware for cheap from China and granted the climate is colder up North regarding the heat dissipation issues of mining I doubt they could have lasted longer against the Chinese who can churn out hardware for pennies and use electricity for pennies literally at their doorsteps. Unless some mining farm starts harnessing the power from wind turbines or some other source of renewable energy I don't think that mining will gain any foothold in any other country in the world other than China any time soon.
