Litecoin mining requires a lot of memory to function properly. To my knowledge Avalon ASIC has little memory because it is designed for bitcoin mining that requires little of it. |

Worried that sending out my address to someone is a security risk. They will be able to associate my wallet with my username.
How about having multiple addresses? Using another address for other transfers and so on. |

no Ok, can I get an answer as to why that might be or a link to an article explaining why/how come that's not possible? ASIC means application specific integrated circuit. That is a chip designed for a specific application and nothing else whatsoever. In the case of the Avalon ASICs they are designed to hash SHA-1 and NOTHING else. LTC is based on an entirely different hashing algorithm, hence Avalon ASICs cannot mine LTC. |

ended before I could participate it's difficult to get LTC now and not as easy as BTC which can be bough from tons of legit exchangers. |
