I have lost nearly $40,000 USD in the past month gambling on bustabit, primedice, and moneypot. You would think that I would have learned that I would have learned by know, but every time I have money in bitcoin, I want to gamble it. I even lost 10 bitcoin in one roll on primedice.

I made around $50,000 last month, so I was still able to live, but it's still affecting me. I know the money I am currently making won't last forever, and I need to save it, but it's hard.

It's just burned in my mind to gamble every time I have btc, and I don't know why.

I am a partner big btc company, and am paid in btc, don't want to say which though.

A suggestion I was given was, every time I am paid, to convert to fiat, but idk...

Any suggestions are appreciated..

You should replace the urge to gamble with the urge not to gamble but don't fight the latter.
Seriously though, gambling addiction is a mental health disorder.

National Problem Gambling Helpline Network (800-522-4700)

Stop it now before you take your business down with it.  My neighbour retired from an awesome job with a great pension and plans to travel the continent with his wife in their 5th wheel.  Now she still works @ 62 yrs old and he drives a school bus @ 68 yrs old - their life savings dwindled from a quarter million to near zero.  They showed me all their winning chits from casinos and also their bank book while telling me the entire story.  You could see the balance go lower and lower by the week. They said the casino would send a car and driver to pick them up and take them to the casino if they called!  Fortunately, his wife snapped out of it before they got into debt as well but they are basically starting from scratch when they should be enjoying retirement.

Its a lot of money, you were did goodjob when you made $50.000, but you're too greedy because you want more and more. Fortunatelly, you still have $10.000 left for living, so my suggest dont gamble all your btc when you got it from your job, just gamble with amount you can affrod to lose.

I was very bad for gambling every penny I made. My suggestion would be to invest X amount of your BTC salary in to silver and gold. You can buy direct from JMB and Provident using Bitcoin and it kinda gives you that fix that gambling does. Your gambling it goes up and you start setting yourself targets of X amount of gold and silver. Kinda addicting in a good way. Also the advantage of having it in metals is the fact it's not readily available to gamble. Takes a tiny bit effort to sell which gives you time to clear your head and think about what your doing.

I admittedly had a huge gambling problem. I'm not proud of that or the things I did. An event in my life started me investing in precious metals and it worked for me. It gave me the gamble I needed and helped me focus on other opportunities. Yes I still gamble and enjoy it. It give me a high like nothing else can. Do I need to seek help? No I don't think so. In the past yes I did. For the past five years I have gambled and controlled it. I've accumulated more savings in the past 5 years than the previous 20. Just my story and giving a perspective of what worked for me.

Have someone else you trust hold all your bitcoin assets, and give them instruction not to give it all back to you while your still overcoming the gambling problem. Instead of going cold turkey, try to gradually slow down your gambling habits. Let that someone give you a daily budget for gambling, which would grow smaller in time. Smiley hope this system works for you.

so you are gambling in stock market now? instead gamble in casino?
i think it might work help you out from gambling trap, in casino you will feel trapped to play over again and again.
investing in stock market will let all your money going up and down for long term and you will not withdraw it for long term and you can not gamble it in casino. but maybe a professional help still needed in case you are addicted to gamble again.

You need to totally stop gambling now, before it ruin your life and get you into debt.

The best way to quit gambling is to find other things to do beside gambling, maybe you can play some sports with your friends or play PC games to keep yourself busy and slowly you will stay away from gambling.

Just think of how hard you earn your money and the money could be put to better use, with $40,000 USD you could buy yourself tons of good food everyday, you could go for a holiday with your family.

Quit Gambling For Good, think for your parents, your family, your loved one, do it for them and your life will be better.

Not the stock market. I just buy physical gold and silver and store them in SD boxes. It's my way of saving money. I also study mintages of certain coins and have successfully flipped many coins for 2-3 times what I paid for them. Like I say I still gamble, but professional help is a waste of time. In order to stop gambling you have to want to stop. I don't, I can control it though and not go crazy off the rails. If any of you get the time, watch the movie Owning Mahoney. There's a scene at the end where he's asked a question. That line has always stuck with me.

Find ways to entertain yourself that you don't need to spend too much money. Like playing games, watching tv series, watching porn. Or play poker only on freerolls, play on primedice with faucet.

So the problem is if you had the bitcoin available in your wallet you send it directly to gambling sites, my suggestion for you is send it to any kind of investment before you go to gamble your money .in that case you will not have any available money in your hands and you need to wait before you can widraw your money.

My advice is to not gambling on that kind of gambling who have provably fair. When you win $50,000 last month it's better to stop and gambling on another type of gambling, like sportsbook.

One thing is very sure in gambling is loss at the end, if we gamble for longer time. So once if you made some profits, which you already made so you should have stopped by now and use that money for other purpose. Anyway you already lost most of your profits but still if you want to overcome this gambling issue then only way is stay out from computer for some time and spend your free time with family and friends and keep yourself busy in outdoor activity until you have feeling that you can control yourself. Good luck to you.

I believe if any one wants to come out of these gambling habits, it is better avoid using computer first. Just spend more time with your other outdoor games and also you can make a real friends to spend more time outside. As long as if you can avoid computer then one can come out of online gambling addiction faster way.

That's a big problem indeed, it's already a gambling addiction. As a first step, I think you need to realize that you already have a gambling problem. You have to set to your mind that you have already lost a lot of money, and you don't want to go beyond that (i.e. break some relationship along the way) because of gambling. Let someone else be in charge of your money, or convert it to fiat and make some investments or just put it in a bank. Close all your online betting accounts, spend your time with family and friends and do some interesting stuffs to forget about gambling.

Moneypot has a investment lockout feature set it for 10 or so days and throw your btc into it instead of gamble. It helps you build self control and you can't get it out till lockout is over. When that's done take a small amount out gamble then lock it for another 10 days keep doing this until you regain control. It helps and you can thank me later.

When it's in lock out you can keep depositing into the investment btw so you basically save your money and maybe earn some from the investment.  The bankroll is so big your losses will be far less than going nuts betting. And you may actually gain btc more often than not.

That's a lot of money you wasted there my friend. Think about it if you only kept those money how much will you have now. So my suggestion to you to stay away from gambling is to find alternative way to ease your boredom . Or just control yourself not to gamble.
