Did anyone else notice this?  I saw something about the price increase and checked mtgox and there it was, so I went to check btc-e but the web page was down, is this the cause?  I checked a cached copy of btc-e and the exchange was somewhere around 50-51USD at the time and is now 52, and now mtgox is down to 55.

So if btc-e dies, would mtgox cause the price to increase?
I don't see btc-e becoming dead but just a thought.

The Bitcoin software, network, and concept is called "Bitcoin" with a capitalized "B". Bitcoin currency units are called "bitcoins" with a lowercase "b" -- this is often abbreviated BTC.

Not sure, as both happens so frequently I don't know if you could determine if correlation is causation.
