i'm looking for a new laptop and will be buying through bitcoinstore.    i've not been keeping up on brands and models, so will pay someone 0.25 btc to give me buying advice (max maybe forty minutes of your time).

pm me with a sentence or two about what you know about laptops in the $1k and under range, and in a half hour i'll choose from the submissions a person to be my buying agent for this.

Go for a Dell XPS, they are fantastic, and I'm currently on one right now.  Price-wise they aren't bad, they are made very well, use solid-state hard-drives in the smaller models (boot much faster, because there aren't any spinning platters), and are one of the lightest laptops available (referring to the 13", the larger ones are VERY heavy for the size).  I would be more than happy to go into extreme detail about any computer that you are currently looking at.

I cant tell you what laptop to buy, but I can explain how my purchase with bitcoinstore went for my new laptop.

I ordered an Asus 15.6" i7

I paid about $800 including shipping. I placed my order on a Saturday night and the following Wednesday it was here. Packaged like a pro and brand new, not a referb or anything like that. Bitcoinstore keep me posted via e-mail regarding when my package was leaving and the tracking number.

All in all it was a great experience and once  the BTC stabilizes a bit I plan on going back and doing some more shopping!

A good advice can often be to go on google and search for 'best laptop' 'laptop comparisons' 'laptop reviews' and so on. Often, hardware mags or sites have reviews and comparisons about different models.

Dell is nice as long as you don't need to get in touch with their support, which is horrible beyond belief.
