It's hard because you have been used to feeling of it. When you're feeling down and you gamble, that's going to make you even more addicted. The dopamine levels in your brain will shoot up when you feel elated or just excited when gambling. It's like when you receive likes (if you have a social media account) it's addictive. People experience it and it's the same as the gambling addiction.

the best way? try making a agreement from your wife if you have one with one daughter like me that if i play gambling again you will never ever see your daughter i think you might think about not having to try again gambling with that thing because that's the most scary part of being a gambler with a wife and daugter haha.

That is definitely a stupid idea ,i would not dare to do that kind of promises and agreement which i cannot fulfill in the first place in a normal situation and more over they would conceive things in a different angle if i am going to tell this to my wife  what a good way to dump them from your life

I in general agree that most people who become addicted to gambling are a failure in real life but that is not the case always. I will show you a simple example from my work life, the brother of my boss has a lot of money (thanks to my boss obviously) yet he is always in the casino playing all his money there. Sometimes they have taken him by force from the casino in 3 AM of the night. So it's not always the case that rich people cannot become addicted to gambling.

I think gambling has no concern with the world, it is the way you play gambling is responsible.

For example if a person play gabling for fun and enjoyment and he only put such amount for betting that he can afford to lost then there is nothing wrong to play gambling and is just a good activity.

But if you play gambling for the money that you cannot afford to lose then it is not a good activity for you.

If you want to quit gambling you need to reduce your gambling timing first and then reduce the amount of money you play gambling with and then practice it for some time and only then you can stop gambling with a  hard world and struggle.
