Gambling is like smoking. It's hard to quit it but it's possible. I've done both. It's just about mind over matter and just disciplining yourself to stop your vices or control them and minimize it. What I did was to think about the money. I tell myself it's not supposed to go to gambling.

Gambling is not as brutal as smoking, you can quit gambling instantly when you have no more money that you can risk however when you are in need of cigarretes you will do anything to get it even when you have no money so it is actually easy to quit gambling, it is just people that makes it looks so hard , either you quit or you continue and lose

Some addicted people chooses to get the service of the professionals because they are ashamed to tell their family that they have a big gambling addiction problem. For me, family is the best people to go to when it comes to big problem, they will care for us more than a professional does.

Family is the best, no matter what. Actually, even without telling you to quit, you could feel it that you need to because of them. Not that you love them, but you can feel that they love you.  A professional help is only needed if your addiction is too much and you act like how those crazy drug addicts act. I was a smoker before, way back 2013, and I quit a year after, and up to now I am not smoking anymore... I do believe that it is really mind over matter or strong will... If you are willing to quit, not much reasons needed to make it... But I my self, got only one reason why I quit smoking, it's my son, and later on, it's the same reason that makes me quit gambling... 

I agree, no matter what we do to quit gambling because our friend advice us to do it as long as we are not determined to ourself to quit gambling, we would still go back to gamble even if we manage to quit for some time. We will just realize it after some serious damage it deals to us or our family.

That's what I think while I was about to quit smoking, the question like "what if I die earlier and my son is still young? I'm sure he will have a "BITTER" future and my beautiful wife too, what if she gets another man when I'm dead already?, same as in gambling, what if we starve because of it...

well that's for sure because its really hard to quit when you can't control yourself we can say it all the time that we will move away and the next thing will happen is we are still thinking about same thing how to make your bet wins or what is the best strategy that we can use to win, there's a lots of things to consider before we can say that we can control our self its  between the power of will and the ability to move forward and stay away.

You cant really stop gambling addiction unless someone come to senses on their own. Unless someone has no funds left to ga,ble then you could still exprct that person to keep on gambling. Even if you try to speak up to him, it will only make that person want to spend more. I've been in this situation and my uncle has finally stop now after he has ruined his life

If its profit find a better job or invest your money somewhere else and if its fun try to adjust to something that won't involve losing money!
