Well not all people are same and i think they can do what you are said but for others who addicted they can not do that easily..
Gambling is just like other game or gadgets like a child that if you are play you are gaining happiness which is like the same in gambling but because of gambling is money involved it can be more excitement feelings that actually it is hard to forgot than you are playing a normal games..
Like psychiatrist said just change your mind to play other games that actually not money involve it can change your habit..

Gambling is really hard to make an escape from it especially if you are already addicted to it. Well, that is not a problem for rich people. But for those people who are working hard just to have a daily income, they should not treat gambling as a solution for living.

The gambling is not a source for living for anyone including rich, poor and middle people. The rich people can afford their loss, but if they addict this gambling one fine day, they will lose everything. This gambling can make them put everything on a single bet. There are many rich gamblers become poor because of this gambling addiction. So don't treat gambling is a source of income just play it for fun.

Well looking at it through your example, it doesn't mean than when you enter that forest, you'd get lost automatically. Of course youbshould have a map, or a companion to accompany you who knows his way around. Same with gambling, when you start gambling, you shoukd be prepared emotionally so you can control yourself when things go too far. It also helps that you have someone who knows what you're doing to advise you if you're betting or spending too much

Tell your wife or mother that you have a gambling problem. For sure they will always look and see what you are doing and they will always ask you if your back gambling. That will surely make you stop because you want their annoyance to stop.

Yes, this is a better idea rather than keeping this problem just by yourself because that is really insane. Keeping too much problem and suffering it all alone could make a people insane, and the worst scenario would be committing suicide. If you really want to quit gambling, then you should change yourself first, know all the mistakes that you have made in your whole life  and start to change that, because the change will always begin on ourselves. I don't clearly get what you are trying to say , its a kinda lives over gambling? It is far from the Post of Sabbirshm and have no connecting ideas from quiting gambling . So lets say gambling is dangerous so you will continue playing or quit for your safety ? The best way is to quit and how will you quit ,then make a move on quiting gambling activity practice yourself and have a discipline .

I don't think that gambling is too dangerous, it is not dangerous in the first place. It is just becoming dangerous depending on how the gamblers are going to take it seriously. But when it is already threatening to ourselves we really need to do something and quit gambling for good. Because it is going to make our lives miserable.

yeah, i think gambling itself is not dangerous, and we should thinking that gambling is another part to enjoy the life especially our life and we should not think that with gambling we can make some money. we need to clear our mind first and then we can trying to quit gambling and the reason is we don't want to ruin our life or our family life.

Those people who are thinking that gambling is too dangerous are the ones who are abusing it. Funny but I look at your comments are the same.  But anyway, your suggestions are great, it's just that, I found it to be not so good for a man who is in his working age. I'd rather have many jobs to keep me busy than to travel and enjoy my life now. Usually the reason why we gamble is because there is money in it, though we don't still consider it as a main source of income.

So instead of travelling, or whatever, find a job, work hard, and earn a lot, that way you won't waste your time.

I understand gambling makes you feel better sometimes, but don't overdo it. As far as you're going to play gambling just for fun with affordable or unconsiderable amounts, it will be fine but sometimes it can go wrong. It never happened to me to lose a lot of money but I lost too, and I know how bad everything can go in a matter of seconds. Be careful, and don't use gambling as a way of earning a living!

Well, it's good for you as a gambler, but if you really want to quit, no such conditions should be applied... If you do that, it would just make you feel as if the gambling is good if you do it with precaution, and then later on you are back to being careless and losing... If you really want to quit there should be no excuses...

Focus on new things and in earning than gambling, enjoy your job so you won't get bored while earning, be excited about your job and your money making methods (except gambling)... Most of all, work, work hard, be greedy on it, grab as much job as you can...

Thats probably the most fundamental thing in gambling, you need some funds to gamble and people cant do that when they have nothing on their possesion however even if it is 1 cent it is still considered as gambling and of course waiting till you lose everything from gambling is not something that might help people to quit for good

At least for the people who have a lot of money that would be the best way. The thing is some people are poor and they are still gambling borrowing money for that. That's a real hell IMO, hell for them and hell for those who live with them. I think the first rule in gambling should be "Never borrow money to gamble".

I agree. And the right way is when you are not expecting to have a profit from gambling. Treat it as recreation. You are not expecting profit from going to walk in a park right? Treat gamble that way too and you will never have problems with it.

Ideally people should gamble for entertainment , but everytime they got it wrong.
Just because they have won huge amount previously doesn't mean they would get same result in the future.
That was fatal mistake to have such as that mindset.
