Fill your time with positive activities, such as sports, watch tv, travelling with the family, and so on, a lot of people gambling because they've got time to spare so they use for activities that are ugly.

Watching tv is not positive activities, it is only waste your time. I also disagree when you said the reason why people keep gamble are because they get a lot of free time. No, it is not, the reason why they keep gamble are because they already addicted. They will keep gamble even though they are still on their working place/school

How can you say that? I think watching TV is a good way to have positive outcome if you want to quit gambling for good. It is not even a waste of time, because you can do other things altogether while watching TV. I've been doing this all the time and I can say when my hands are startling to gamble then I just turn on my TV and watch variety shows.

The only way to quit gambling, is by not playing. If you find it hard to do this simple thing you seriously got problems. Just don't play. You have $10 don't bet them, buy something to eat, donate to charity but don't gamble them when you want to stop

Not only for that like my wife before was addicted in gambling. i just asked them before because i want to stop her bad habit but she gives me a reason that gambling is the only way to make her fun or entertain because she was useless no one care and love what she said.. that honestly it was not true.. she just wasting our money that oneday we have money even money for buying foods.. i explain well to her why gambling are made.. and telling them that gambling are made only for entertainment and you should calm that you can afford to lose..

Most of these activities  can certainly put your mind off gambling as they will not trigger any craving for the act but the environments we choose  to try out these  activities should be carefully picked!
Maybe a change of friends who gamble  might be an easy fix for this.

If an individual is winning, then I dont see the need of wanting to quit, on the otherhand, for someone losing from very angle, if that individual is sane, he ought to know gambling is not meant for him. The only way I know is look for something else to either occupy his time if the reason for gambling is for fun, but for someone who is there for making money then he needs to find another stable source of making money without that its like flogging a dead horse.

If you're already an adult and earning money then this method not very helpful in stopping gambling because somehow they will get the funds if they change mind to gamble again. To come out of gambling one must first mentally decide not to gamble again otherwise they will find ways to play again. After they decide then try not to use a computer for a while when your alone and spend more time with your family and friends in outdoor activities more.

Indeed. Therefore, we have to learn how to control our mind and our body. If you do not have this ability, it will be very hard to quit gambling since your mind always focus on it. The more you stay away from gambling, the more you hungry about it. I do not think that stay away from computer is a good idea because there are many fun activities on the digital world apart from gambling.

you are right, when we are easy to get money easy also to occasionally back into gambling. but for me it is not a problem, when I only get free money to play gambling. If it is difficult to stop, it will come naturally, when we got bored playing gambling after several years and you never get the results, I'm sure you will stop when it finds things that are better than gambling.

Along with expectations gambling also give a high level fun to the gamblers so people cannot stop themselves from any place where they are getting fun and entertainment. I dont think so. It may be that way flr you but i find a couple of gambling games fun and worth losing a couple of dollars for the sake of enjoying it. Its different for everyone if they find gambling fun or not. You may have that outlook towards gamblig and a lot of people may share the same views as yours but there are a lot who looks differently at gambling. Though i think enjoying would not be reason enough for people to lose their minds over it. I think one of the best ways to quit gambling is to lose a very large amount of money in it. Most people only learn things the hard way and losing a very significant amount would be a good reality check

That's a lot of sacrifice out there, gambling addiction will make our finances down and it should be avoided by any means. When you are addicted, you have to fight your addiction to cure it, if you can solve that problem, that will only be the time that you can start with your new journey in life.
