Electrum is an SPV wallet. It doesn't need a fast internet connection nor does it need to download the entire blockchain. It is one of the best SPV wallets out there.

I think electrum run better even with slow internet because it uses software which store all info including private key so only internet is needed to push transaction online after that if enough fee is added there is no need of internet for that transaction to get confirmed

Coinbase is the best for slow networks. I've tried blockchain and Xapo where Xapo takes ages to load and blockchain too loads fast depending if the server is up while it can also take a long time to load. Best thing about coinbase is that it keeps you logged in for 30 days on your PC and it's secure as well.

I dont know if any wallet is particularly good with slow internet but if your looking for a wallet for your android phone then its hard to beat mycelium wallet. Ive used others and my vote would definitely be with mycelium. You cant even open the wallet initially without storing yout seed word list so the chances of actually losing a wallet would be slim. Ive had less success with other android wallets.

There are few bitcoin wallets (that have also native mobile app) and those that I regularly use are Mycelium and Coinbase. Mycelium is good because only you hold the bitcoin, but coinbase does not provide private key but has its web and mobile platform.

I have used so many wallets so far but I felt that blockchain.info is the best as it holds great level of security features which allow you to keep your coins intact in it.

Op, you don't have to use one wallet for everything. In fact you will be better testing 2 or 3 before you will choose.
With your slow internet any wallet with full validation is out of question (you can run Bitcoin Core in prune mode, but you would still need to download whole blockchain first).
The best for you are Software wallets like Electrum, Multibit as your main wallet and online wallet like blockchain.info for mobile access from anywhere on any device.

Avoid XAPO or Coinbase as your online wallets, their regulations and ToS are much more 'unfriendly' for newbie users.

Blockchain should be good for you. I'm using blockchain since my first experience about bitcoin and so far it's good and even when my internet so slow, i still can access it with full image.

I hope this information very useful for you for Android Application Purpose:

1. Bitcoin Core
2. Multibit
3. Electrum
4. Hive
5. Armory
6. Blockchain wallet.
7. Coinbase
8. Coinkite
9. Pi-wallet
10. Bitadress paper wallet

Thanks.BTC

I think you missed his first post on "very slow Internet user so i want use a wallet which can operate over a very slow network".  Downloading bitcoin core sounds terrible on a network like this.  He will want a light wallet that does not have to download blockchain.

Also as other's mentioned possibly a web wallet depending on amount is good as you are using them.   I would caution on web wallet's depending on how much you are storing in your BTC wallet.  Just additional risk with all hot wallet's.

Electrum or MultiBit should be good enough but if your internet is really so slow that you're having problems even with these lightweight wallets then I would suggest that you sign up with an online wallet service instead. You'll be able to access your coins on your phone and pc without having to wait for anything to download.

If you're after an android wallet... I'd avoid Electrum... their android client is pretty horrible from a UI/UX point of view. It honestly looks like it was put together by someone who doesn't understand Android dev.

I've been using Mycelium. In the week or so that I've been using it, it seems pretty robust and works OK (I have used it via mobile data 3G and WiFi with an underlying 1 megabyte/sec ADSL connection.)

They are supposedly bringing out a shiny new version of Mycelium at some point... but the current client isn't too bad.

I'd suggest to use CoPay. It is open source and created by one of the most trusted company in bitcoin world, i.e. BitPay. Works awesome on Android.
