Does anyone have any real data on the ambient heat temperature from the exhaust of an S7?  I would guess that if the 3 boards were all hashing at 60c, then the maximum ambient exhaust would be 60c, however I would think the pull fan would cool the air moving through the miner?

1) I am trying to figure out what the ambient room temperature will be if I leave 2 S7's in my office running for a few days and can it trigger the sprinkler system; and

2) Does anyone have a temp gun that could collect the exhaust temps?

Any real data would be appreciated.

Thanks.

Exhaust is always lower. Otherwise it wouldnt transfer any heat. The air goes strait through. Miner at 75C does not mean ambiant to 75C. Anyways, just point their exhaust strait to outdoor and you're good to go.

But for the sound, i dont really think you can run S7's in an office if there are people there. Imagine having a blowhorn in your ear all day, thats about it.

Temp guns read surface temps and you seem to want air temps. Just set a thermometer in the air stream a few inches from the exhaust...

This works do one at 6 then 12 inches.

My guess is the gear will shut down at room temp of 110f.

To op if this is a classic 'free' power deal run you miners at freq of 400 with fans at 35%

That will solve your sound issues and you heat issues.

The miners are stock 600M, so I already have them running at 525M with the fans at 40% and the boards are between 59c-65c right now.  My issue is that the building AC shuts off on nights and weekends, so I just wanted to make sure I wasn't going to set off the sprinkler system.  I was reading that the sprinkler systems trigger at 140f-150f, so just being cautious.  I don't have a noise issue or personnel issue, I am just trying to figure out if I can run them without having to introduce cooling and ventilation modifications to the space.
