You are experiencing the same problem as me ?? Please, Let me know how to say it for my friend or family !!

It is really difficult to me because in my country only a few numbers of people know about it even my a lot of friends don't know about the bitcoin, even they don't know that bitcoin is a name of currency.
When i ask my family member that you know what is bitcoin? and they simply reply NO.
I feel someone have no interest to know about the bitcoin. Then i explain it, it is a cryptocurrency and also it is a easiest and good way of earning.

Yes. I will find good method for explain it. So many opinion in here and I like all.
Just for suggestions and I try it to my friend and family and that's working for them, I just a tell to them about bitcoin if I can make some money or dollar with bitcoin for free. well, from this become a long of the conversation with my friend and my family. and they curious about that and starting want to know about the detailed of bitcoin by me.

I have always said that a simple and short video can do the work of a thousand words. you should find a nice youtube video about bitcoin that you like and show it to them. this way they can understand bitcoin so much easier and faster.

and when talking about bitcoin you should stick to the facts about using bitcoin and don't get into technical stuff like how mining works. also don't talk too much about speculative matter like bitcoin to the moon and stuff like that.

Here is my opinion.
Think your purpose of sharing it to them. For example, you want to share to your family and/or friends the things that you do during your free time or why are you so busy everytime you're in front of your PC. In other way, maybe share to them that you are earning online, and who knows they might be interested too. Start the discussion from there and think of easy ways to explain it step by step for them to understand it.

I like your opinion but my Family don't use PC or Internet. It's so hard with me !!

You are going to have a tough time explaining it, if they do not even understand the basics of computers. The best way, will just be for you to relate it to something they know already, which is the

banking system. I hope they use banks, or this will not work for them.... Tell them that all money are transferred in digital/electronic form in the banking systems... If you transfer money to people in

another country, banks will not transfer the money physically {meaning that they are not taking the money you deposited, and then transfer it via boat or plane to the other country} So most money,

is already in digital format... The same goes for Bitcoin... the only difference is, it is not going through banks, but rather one big decentralized network that are running on 1000s of private computers.

The bitcoins are also generated from this network and not by banks or governments.

I have talked about bitcoin to my friends and family. and the response is different. and those who already understand, until now they are still using bitcoin for investment. but most people find it difficult to understand, what it is about bitcoin, and usually am not too complicated to explain in detail. but I am quite advised him to focus on how to get a good bitcoin, and as time goes, I am sure he will understand.

Friends are ok if they are tech savy...but if you want to let your parents know about bitcoin, the problem starts there.

Most of the people will have difficulty to understand the fact that money can be mined through a computer program. This concept is the most crucial one.

If they accept the fact, then you will be able to tell them the rest of the technology. Otherwise all will be in vain.

I'm having the same problem, really.
My mom does not really want me to earn bitcoins and my dad supports my mom's decision about this. They just think that bitcoin is a big scam because of it's value. I told them that it's like an online gold, but they insist of seeing at least a certificate of ownership of gold or something like that.

I can't really do anything else but to explain it to them that bitcoin is a currency and an investment over and over again. It just came to a point that they stopped caring and told me to not come crying to them if I was scammed or something.

Tell them maybe bitcoin is the future money which has high value, after that, they'll ask how to get/earn that, and then just explain many ways how to earn btc (gambling, trading, from this forum (sig camp, giveaway).

If you want them to understand bitcoin you should show them how to use it/earn first hand and explain
what possibilities bitcoin has. they may not be interested in the first time but explaining is all you can do,
and understanding is for them to decide but you still have to show them that you can earn in bitcoin.

I`m pretty sure that my parents will never understand what bitcoin is.

There`s no point to talk with them and explain all the important stuff about bitcoins.

They just won`t believe me.

Need to search it by there own to have idea what is bitcoin you don't need to explain more.

Why bother? Let em find out for themselves. Otherwise you'll get the blame if something goes wrong.

Some things are more trouble than they're worth. Money and advice are one of them.

LOL,  that's to much love and concern!  Anyway, you can talk about BTC to them in a simple slow pace introduction.  Don't put all your card in one draw.  first you should show to them what is bitcoin and that you already is using it.  they must first find its use and what is it to them to get their interest in using Bitcoin.

This is kinda tough problem,  but I believe that there is always way to let them understand bitcoin.  Let's hope that they are already computer literate or else you will be having twice  problem.  Assuming they are computer literate, you just need to feed them bitcoin knowledge little by little.  If they have spare time, invite them to watch the video about what is bitcoin.  it will only take less than 5 min.  Then show him your bitcoin and give sample transaction while explaining while making the transaction.  The video pretty covers the basic so all you need to show is the usage of  bitcoin and the transaction process.

What is the problem? You don't need to talk to friends and family about Bitcoin if they are not interested. In fact, I would consider interest in Bitcoin as a precondition for talking about the topic. It is not advisable to force the topic on them.

Also, in case they have a negative view of Bitcoin because of incorrect media reporting you should not behave in a way as if you had to justify your engagement with Bitcoin. You don't need to convince anyone who has prejudices. Trying it might actually serve the opposite purpose by making people believe that you want to sell something to them. Just wait and hodl. Sooner or later these people will realize that they were wrong...
