You need to measure how much your rigs use. Either use a current clamp and measure your current from the wall or get a "Kill-a-Watt" meter.

But 6 x 290 will most likely use at least 1300-1400 Watts.

6 x 480 probably about 700 Watts.

As said above. I just want to emphasize to get a wattmeter. It's basically a must for miners.

Is that one good enough for rig?

I have one of those. They are great but now the battery dies just seconds after I unplug it. I don't care though.

Do you think this one can be considered as an additional investment one Smiley ?

Bathrobehero confirmed that it works. I would buy two just in case that first one dies. That would set you back about 0.05 btc, not bad...

You really only have to look at the maximum current it can handle.

Quote
Operating current: max 15A

So that's 1800W with 120V which is not that much. Mine is also 15 or 16A but I have the 230V version so it's close to double that.

And I wouldn't go to the limit for 0-24 use, maybe 20% lower.

Missing to read the specs is probably why many people burned dozens of these things.

Mine were 230V versions, 15 and 16A specs. First one just died, second one says I have 315-356V network -_-

I think you calculation is not accurate, because we must consider the cooling power
