This is how it works, say what you think the price of bitcoin will be at  10:00:00 AM ( 20 minutes) in USD. Get your vote in before 9:55:00 AM (in 13 minutes) and if anyone is correct to 2 decimal places (ex: 67.12)  i will pay them 0.01 BTC instantly... just a fun little game. include your address with your guess!

THE NUMBER WILL PICKED AT FROM PREEV.COM
IM TALKING PACIFIC STANDARD TIME BUT IF YOU ARENT P.S.T SIMPLY LOOK AT THE MINUTES UNTIL THE GAME ENDS

I'm back.

Hey this is Bitcoin... you don't need me to confirm it. Anyone can check that address to see if a payment was made.    Wink

Thanks.

That is the address for the newbie lotto bonus fund btw.  See here for more info.

I don't know.  There have been a lot of scams on these forums, and people are understandably skeptical of anything that asks for an upfront payment in order to have a chance of getting something back ( although there still seem to be many who are willing to throw money into dubious ventures like paying for mystery asic devices before such devices are even built and tested... risk vs reward... greed overwhelming common sense... who knows what that is all about?  )

There are already a lot of lottery and other BTC gambling sites that people may be more likely to trust due, if nothing else, to their being around longer.  If you want to compete with them you will no doubt have to work at establishing trust and building in as much transparency and provable-fairness into your initiative as possible.

I see, i see, its different though in my eyes as these gambling sites are for profit, my prediction games are simply to spread wealth and make fun on the forums

Yes, but try to look at it through the eyes of those who have been scammed, or seen others scammed, many times, by people making similar claims.  Wink

Alas, i see your point... well, given YOUR status and rep on the forums, would you mind getting it going... as people would probably follow suit if someone as reputable as you made the leap of faith. If i did scam you... as i stated in my thread... my rep would be 0 and my business which is my livelyhood would no longer succeed so the less than 1 BTC really isnt worth it to me!

Umm... what are you asking me to do?  I am not much of a gambler.   I am already running the newbie lotto thing anyway.

And also just because I am a "hero" member who has been on these forums forever... or a long time anyway... doesn't mean a lot of people trust me.
I haven't been doing any lending or borrowing or any other kind of deal making where I would develop some kind of reputation.

It is not that I am untrustworthy it is just that I don't get myself into situations where anyone would need to trust me...

I think Polonius gave his hotheaded son good advice:

Neither a borrower nor a lender be,
For loan oft loses both itself and friend,
And borrowing dulls the edge of husbandry.

One of the things I like about Bitcoin is that one can do much without needing to trust and worry.

But don't take my word on't.
In sooth seek the council of thine own wit.     Wink
