If you think your savings are under threat -- from a banking collapse, government seizure or anything else -- the traditional thing to do is withdraw your cash and stick it under a mattress. But could Europeans scared of losing their cash be turning to Bitcoins instead?

Apparently, word has gotten out that Spaniards are flocking towards Bitcoin. Don't know if this is actually true, but they will be from now on.

Not at all.

They said it was "Expired".

Now I'm even moar confused!   Huh

If Bitcoin is "expired" then how can "Europeans scared of losing their cash be turning to Bitcoins instead?"

Both cannot be true.

Doesn't Wired have fact checkers, or do they just let their writers go crazy, and publish any kind of hurr-durr derp-derp crap they feel like spewing?

The glory days of that magazine are firmly in the past. They probably hit their peak relevance in the late 1990s.
