I think it's good faucet because 1doge per claim is normal but maybe in future think about a little bit more increase to 2doge minimal because 40satoshis is normal but if will be 80satoshis it will be very very good.

Considering he was only giving out 1 doge per dispense I don't really think he needs ads to survive.

1 Doge is a really small amount (a lot smaller than a satoshi) so unless he had a million users a day trying to get doge off him, he could easily pay it off with a signature campaign or a small mining rig.
