There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, which will follow the rules of the network no matter what miners do. Even if every miner decided to create 1000 bitcoins per block, full nodes would stick to the rules and reject those blocks.

i closed my longs  Grin

It appears that's one of the hardest things to do as a long-time bull.
At what price do you sell when you know it could be even more worth in another year?

I'm never selling. I'll just wait until the price stabilizes then use it in normal trade. In fact, I just spent a few BTC yesterday but I'm trying to replace them now...

Yea, the advice I am starting to offer is first acquire the btc THEN spend it as opposed to spending it and catching up.

Strange.

The higher it goes, the less interest I have in selling.

You've just reached point "greed" on classic bubble graph.
Everybody want to buy, nobody wants to sell, price skyrockets up until everyone realize that it's time to sell.

Well, it was an opportunity I wasn't expecting and it was only 3 1/3 bitcoins. Unfortunately, I didn't realize how hard it was to just buy bitcoins at short notice, the ones I bought previously were just by arrangements with individuals.

It's all good though Cheesy I'm now switching to buying small amounts of bitcoin in a regular basis. There's all the usual regrets about not getting in earlier of course but it is what it is.
