Do you know all the bitcoin units and their values with respect to one another?
Its been more than two months for me using BTC but I haven't been able to figure out all of the units and their values in respect of each other especially and not with dollars either.
So far I only know that 1000 Satoshi makes 10 bits.

You can easily find out by Googling it:

1 BTC = 1,000 mBTC = 1,000,000 bits = 100,000,000 Satoshi = USD$ 680 (as of now)

OR

1 Satoshi = 0.01 bit = 0.00001 mBTC = 0.00000001 BTC = USD$ 0.0000068

you don't really need all of these units, only 4 of them come in handy (sat, μBTC, Bit, mBTC). besides most of the services and all of the bitcoin wallets have an option to change measurement unit to bitcoin with 8 decimals so you can always choose that and never learn any of those other units!

Who still use satoshi and μBTC these days besides faucet/micro-payment website?
Services and wallet these days usually only give 2 units (BTC and mBTC).

Honestly I'm aware of them but since they are many, sometimes I forgot. But no worries since conversion is available online and can easily be use. In addition, I mostly encountered satoshi, mbtc and btc that's why I am most aware of them than other unit conversions. If you will encounter all units several times, for sure you'll figure it out all.

So far I was using bits only as I find it easy. But now I think I should start using mBTC. Did the preference change in my wallet but strangely it is showing all my bitcoin as unconfirmed now, never happened that before when changing the display units. I hope its alright...

For me, I never used bits but its convenient for me to say sats  for satoshi Only sats and BTC or bitcoin I am familiar with glad to know you open up this topic as I am not used to it.

I know all of the them but i rarely use 1 bits = 100 satoshi rather than it is easy to understand 1 mbtc = 100000 satoshi.

Yeah, you can do internet surfing to get knowledge about this. refer below for your initial level understanding. You will came to know about this and it is very similar to our regional currency in different denominations.

don't use units they are very confusing when you start using milli micro and akin, just use btc, 0.001 btc, 0.0001 btc etc...

you may use satoshi but it appear to be unconventional

I avoid them mostly, except maybe mBTC and satoshis.

Anything not using SI units can easily be mistaken and lead to conflicts in payment and expectations. The spend on thinking how much a bit is, can also be used to type a couple of extra 0 to make sure there are not mistakes to be made.

It makes no sense to make up as many units as you can in a list. "milli-bitcoin" is a normal one, if you add "mill-bitcoin" which is worth 2684.35456 times more you're just being confusing. So I suggest to forget this list.

The normal units are these:

1 BTC = 1,000 mBTC = 1,000,000 bits = 100,000,000 Satoshi = USD$ 680 (as of now)

OR

1 Satoshi = 0.01 bit = 0.00001 mBTC = 0.00000001 BTC = USD$ 0.0000068

I think it's confusing to use 8 instead of something that can be multiplied by 3, but that's the way Satoshi made it.
It's also confusing when people start using "Mb" when they mean mBTC. Mb sounds like memory, not Bitcoin.
I've also noticed that a lot of people have no idea what mBTC means! In a chat I Mod people often ask "how many Bitcoin is 1 mBTC?". My guess is it's people who use imperial units, as I would expect the rest of the world to know SI-units.

Personally I don't like "bits", because once again it sounds like computer-stuff instead of money. And more importantly, it doesn't have "Bitcoin" in the name. "Satoshi" doesnt' have it either, but unlike "bit" that's not a common word in the English language.

My favourite is now mBTC, because of the value in dollars: almost 1 dollar is easy to calculate. I don't want to order a meal for 0.031 Bitcoin, 31 mBTC is easier to pronounce or read.

http://preev.com/ is your friend, you do not need to make it too complex.  Just CLICK on the small little upside down triangle, and choose the unit of measure you want to use. I do not bother with too many calculations, I just use this site. I know most gambling sites use bits and most of the faucet sites use Satoshi's. We over complicate things for ourselves, just use the tools provided by others to make your life so much easier. ^Enjoy^

Agree with you about the site. I'm also using preev, however, it's only when I need to convert btc to other currencies(i.e. USD, EUR, PHP). Well, it's really convenient to use for that. But never been tried btc unit conversion like satoshi/bits/mbtc to btc.

I also never use units I prefer to do it by digit it's much more easier to remember,some of the people I thought about bitcoin also finds it easier if they explain it using digits instead of units..

I've had btc for years ans I still don't know the names of the units. Actually my first exposure to this was when the default unit in electrum changed from btc to mbtc. Then I had to figure that out but after a short time realised I can change it back to whole bitcoins in the settings.
