Did you guys hear about the guy who had a heat stroke and minor brain damage after falling asleep in his room full of miners running overlocked cards?

I'd rather do that than posting 50 times in this tiny subsection of the forum but looks like we have no choice.

How the hell does that happen?
Why not put the computers in a room with a window and a fan?
How many did he need to have for that to happen?

Judging by the story, he probably didn't have much of a brain to damage anyway. I mean, how do you sleep in a room that's sweltering hot? To the point of suffering heat stroke?  Huh

It's probably not true.

So yeah, sleeping with your four computers in your room is BAD.

I agree, I bet he did get confused and felt sick and was probubly on the brink of heat stroke. It'st just a story to let other people know that its not a good idea to this this sort of setup

The horrible part is many people probably have their computers in their rooms as their better half won't let them noise pollute the livingroom! All we need now is a "Guy dies from heat stroke caused by bitcoin mining computers" article.

Stay safe, drink beer while tweaking overclocks.  Lots.
It also gets you out of the basement when you have to go recycle!

Yea, I heard of that.... not sure how much stock I take in the story though, seems to me that at that kind of temp the computers would be failing....

Also, I don't see how he could sleep in a room that hot...

I sense sarcasm, and I really hope what I sense is there, but I'll humor you... for the sake of...

His post about only posting substantive posts of high quality content wasn't substantive or high quality.

It was posted on some chan somewhere so I doubt it's legit. You'd definitely wake up before you were able to get brain damaged, unless you were passed out drunk or some shit.
