It is a common myth that Bitcoin is ruled by a majority of miners. This is not true. Bitcoin miners "vote" on the ordering of transactions, but that's all they do. They can't vote to change the network rules.

Do a search for free bitcoin there are a number of "free" sites that give you small amounts of BTC. Its not really worth your time. unless you are unemployed then maybe its worth your time... But try earning them. BitGigs.com CoinDL.com and my favorite, Bitmit.net, BitMit is like the ebay of Bitcoin and if you have some old stuff you want to sell for BTC you can do it there. Sign up with my referral link and PM for 0.05BTC tip. http://bitmit.net/en/user/drew/?ref=2063

Once you sell something the BTC can be moved from your bitmit wallet to the wallet you are using to keep funds safe. I was not offering to tip anyone other then 'Jim613' But I'll send you *A* tip too 'JustSomeWoodcoc' once you have listed your first awesome item for sale.... make it a good one and ill tip better!

There are some advertising sites, which will pay a few mBTC just for visiting the site. My favorite one is coinad.com. Google knows many more . Edit:/ Other cool offers are Earn Free Bitcoins & BitVisitor. You have to visit websites for a few minutes (automatic after entering a captcha) and get paid for it... Would be nice, if you use my ref-link: earnfreebitcoins.com?ref=15hruVg9qpmvby7vhmFQHWNEoQcSLJHzXt and www.bitvisitor.com/?ref=1BL2XkE9jKd5pmwTsUkd3v47usJWWxy5MK
