Went storming in, did I lose my bitcoins? (lost private key)

It's my first time buying bitcoins ever. I don have anyone to help me so I kind of just freestyled it and now I'm deeply regretting it as i may have lost my bitcoins. (it was only £32 but thats quite a lot of money to me lol).

So i will just explain what i did. I bought the Bitcoins using Bittylicious and sent them to a randomly generated bitcoin address from an address generator online. I spent ages messing about, trying to import the bitcoins to Electrum not knowing that all I had done was use the bitcoin address to try to import them, rather than the private key, which was also provided on the address generator. However I paid no attention the private key. Frustrated, later on I closed the address generator tab, which had the only record of the Private Key. I had not written it down or saved it anywhere. So, having lost the private key, is there any way i can get my bitcoins back to spend them? I'm guessing no...

any replies would be greatly appreciated

You could have learned the lesson more cheaply.  The private key is most important.

you could forget anything but not the private key. private key is the most important to have an access in the bitcoin address specially if you have the funds stored in it. unfortunately since you don't have the copy of private keys it means your bitcoin is lost. sorry for that

If you can get access to your bitcoins with just the address then so can anyone you give the address to to receive bitcoins. Did you not think about that?

Theres nothing that can be done now that they've been sent in afraid but if it makes you feel any better then just know that you aren't the first to have done something stupid like this and you won't be the last.

Do you know, is there any service that gives you permission to get back your sent bitcoin, if wallet is on one network (bitcoin wallet service website) ?

The only way you could get them back is if you have a cached version of the website you were on (which I've never heard of) when you made the wallet. I kind of doubt you do so yes they'd gone.

Maybe someone will know how to look into all of the websites you had opened in a certain browser. What browser were you using and on what operating system?

No. The fact that you're even asking means that you're missing the whole point of Bitcoin. Bitcoin transactions are designed to be practically irreversible by nature. It doesn't matter if you're using an online wallet. Once coins are sent to another address, those coins will stay in that address unless that address's owner/controller decides to send it back. No online wallet will issue a chargeback for you because any "recovered funds" will have to come from that wallet's own funds.

Online address generators usually generate addresses dynamically. Even if the page is cached, the address won't be recovered.
