Why this forum have lame design ?

Because using trending designs is too mainstream , I thought about this at the beginning but through the time I'm familiar with the old-school design. You can check the new beta forum here which has new design https://beta.bitcointalk.org/ but I still like the current old design.

I am sorry, but the design on this forum is simple and easy.  I do not see the need for some fancy design, other than to find a way to advertise more to us.  We are not here for the deign, we are here for the information that is offered and to help others learn more about Bitcoin.

There are some new features that will be added to the new forum but we still don't know about the release date, I think too that is too boring, maybe better including these new features(including 2FA) to the current forum, it's easier to navigate.

What's wrong with the design? It's nice, clear, and doesn't waste resources - i.e. loads quickly. It's dumb to demand a new design just to follow questionable aesthetic trends that change every few months. What's the problem with keeping a system that works? After all this forum should mainly provide useful content and information and not be a catwalk for hipsters.

A very important advantage of this forum is that it works without JavaScript. Out of security reasons, JavaScript is disabled in my browser per default. I can't even load the new beta forum without deactivating various security settings. That is idiotic - a forum primarily displays simple text. That should be possible without scripting!

it is possible to change to classic and easy design that way more comfortable to surf in.
some of the users here have raisin brain and they they immediately think on design with loads of effects and colors when heard of a change.
they also have lack of knowledge on marketing and entrepreneurship so they foolishly think that this design is the reason for its success.

I actually like how this forum is and its design. Nothing wrong with it. I always say; don't fix something that isn't broken. The new forum on the other hand (if the design stays the same), is far less attractive. From that point I can understand why people would want to see a better UI.

Ditto, I totally agree with you.  This forum is very simple, and that's a good thing.  I can't stand websites with a bunch of garbage that takes forever to load, fancy graphics, etc.  What we've got here is a damn good meeting place for bitcoin enthusiasts around the globe, and there are only a few things I would change, but I like it just how it is now.  It's functional, wouldn't you say?

You make a shit post about the forum design with no substantial information premised on your opinion of the forum design being "lame". You show no awareness of previous discussions on this subject (I remember a previous shit post about the design being good, there are probably more; also there's the whole thing about EpochTalk). You don't provide any concrete examples of poor design.

Yet when someone replies with some actual arguments you respond by insulting them? You should seriously reconsider your behaviour.

Im quite happy with the design, what else does it need ? Everything is in a nice layout and easy to find.  Changing the design would just upset people who like it as it is. Everytime a website i frequent changes its layout i always hate it. Dont fix whats not broken.

I don't mind the design of Bitcointalk.org because whats more important is the content of this forum not the design and besides I did not register here because I was attracted to the design of the forum. There might be forums out there with screaming designs that will get a lot of attention but hows the content? Here, I find a more information about Bitcoin and some of the content from other forums came from here or heard from here first.

What are you even talking about ? For your information,theymos doesn't market or promote the website.He barely cares about designs and stuff,the forum is secure/safe from third party vulnerable scripts is his priority and it should be.The solution is simple,if you don't like it here,you can probably leave the forum.
