Hi, i read that All users of Bitcoin-Qt/bitcoind versions 0.7.2 and earlier are required to upgrade to 0.8.1 or apply a manual workaround by May 15

If I am using Multibit, Do i need to move my bitcoins to another wallet? to Blockchain for example?

Dont panic, your btc wont be lost. What will happen is your client will be offline. Just backup your wallet, (multiple encrypted copies)

Then update your client, import the old wallet, there you go.

Also learn to keep your wallet encrypted all the time.

The current version of MultiBit on the multibit.org website connects quite happily to both 0.7.x and 0.8.x bitcoinQT/bitcoind nodes. As long as you keep your copy of MultiBit reasonably up to date you should not notice any difference on May 15th.

On the small possibility we notice an incompatibility with bitcoind 0.8.1 there is time to write and test an upgrade. That is one of the reasons to have two months prior notice.

Edit: for clarity.
