What a market. I sure hope things stabilize. It is certainly a deterrent to try to sell goods and services when the price changes are so dramatic. There literally isnt enough time to take bitcoin and sell it on the market for USD without the possibility of losing 10-20% in the process.

True the volatility is bad, it is to be expected of any new system like this. It will stabilize overtime.

Yes, you could lose 10-20% but you could also gain 10-20%. No risk, no reward.
