Alarming bad publicity to bitcoins in social media

I hate to see negative reporting like this, but we do here positive new sometimes as well. I have heard of charities and churches that accept bitcoin donations. This shows that there are beneficial uses for bitcoin. And that is in addition to the main uses which are a method of payment, method of sending money, and store of value.

I dont remember some good publicity around bitcoin till the day, besides they had visited some big farm in the USA and showing the value of 1000 dollars or something near it, all news around bitcoin are made to try to kill or hide it since the begining, till the moment they had fail, bitcoin is getting bigger and stronger, soo they need to be more creative and even with that they cant destroy or stop bitcoin.

yeah but also there are peoples who are against bitcoin and want bitcoin to vanish from this world as by doing the negative publicity of bitcoin !
I know the charities are being more profited by bitcoin donation as due to its liqudity and price volatile and they are supporting it but i think this may be politicians behind in such issues !!

And while reading this article it just make sense that media has made attempts to destroy bitcoin in favor of blockchain. Is someone behind this bad publicity to bitcoins. But at least bitcoin remain strong.

Its not surprising its always the media that destroys everything by publicizing the different thing.  When people the hear the country Iraq, the first thing that comes in their mind is war when it fact the country is very much peaceful during Saddam's time. Same thing with Libya.

I hate to say it this way but it is just like what is happening with Donald Trump in the US election right now. They are trying to be as negative about him as possible basically all of the time on every sort of media possible, and it has been easing up recently with the convention and everything but it's still just being negative about someone they don't like. This is the same for Bitcoin; they don't like it and thus they're going to paint it as negatively as possible at every turn. Eventually they'll run out of ammo to attack it with and have to revert to their most basic attacks, and that's when you'll know Bitcoin has beat them.

in the article they're right when they've said "Blockchain is a hot term" and that everyones focused on it, rather than Bitcoin. It's all because once the media gets to be aware that Bitcoins are used on the darknet by illegal drug markets and for other unusual activities, they try to relate those as a bad omen to Bitcoin itself. Most of the power lies in Big banks and Financial institutions and they play a major role in polluting the reputation of something that a minority of the public accepts cause it instills freedom for people from monitoring. These big institutions inturn tend to spill the same to the media to create a "Bad" hype about Bitcoins, and then the chain follows from one media channel to another.

That is also true so they are treating Bitcoin as a threat to their financial status. We will soon see how far can they go to stop cryptocurrency in the coming years.
Not sure if its possible to control github but if it is they might as well take that, domain registrars and hosting companies which is going to be scary.

OK, Illuminati may even not exist (I don't think so), but it's true there are dozens of secret societies around the world, big ones with really wide influence and can control many powerful things like the media easily like a piece of cake. Should they drive there attention toward bitcoin and try to manipulate it? Yes, because it's profitable.

The media knows too well that bad news sells better than good news.

Basically your right, most of the media news target negative news as these are much more catchy to their audience, so I dont see any reason to believe media wants Bitcoin to fail, they just happily publish any negative news, Bitcoin included.

You can see in news how big inflation have venezuelan people with their fiat currency as well, over 1000% yearly so basicaly using it is pointless, and any fiat currency can easily end in similar trend. So media news do not just bash Bitcoin, they like to report about any negative news that come up, so nothing to worry about.

i think that is not for the first time. we are experiencing such cases for so many time. every time bitcoin succeeded and the false reporter fails in their aim. i can hope that this time also bitcoin will become succeeded.

I just watched the 3rd episode of the second season of Mr. Robot and there was this talk about Bitcoin and cold wallets and all the illegal vibe associated with the Bitcoin technology that even the mainstream media is painting the picture that mainly hackers and computers geeks are vested in this digital currency. Maybe after watching the show a lot of people will check out this Bitcoin thing and become Bitcoiners themselves who knows.

I don't know about the criminals but I do think that some group of people just want to highlight the bad aspects of bitcoins in the eye of common people. it may be the group of corporations that doesn't want bitcoins to be widely used.

What you are telling is a long time ago , but in today Media is the first who are creating the small thing as a big bubble. They just wanted their channel to get high TRP so that they can get more revenue through advertisement. In my view today media are the one big threat to the public as most of the times they just spread the rumors with getting full detail about the actual news.

Yeah that's the function of the media, I think it was a regular thing if they wanted to get a view that many more they get the money and the increasingly popular. Because the media can not live without operational money
And therefore I think the media is one of the media neutral party, because they spread the word that is actual and factual.

It is a common thing for media, they need the sensational news to lift their reputation and they want to make it as controversial as possible, when bitcoin is used for wrong reason the media will keep on shouting and reporting, but they not doing anything when bitcoin is used for good purpose, some organization has started accepted bitcoin as donation, but media never bring up the news

Well after I read your post the thing that I will lay down on the table are two things. First is probably yes and the second is probably no. Probably yes, since reports are also bias and media can be paid and report news with bias due to personal interest. Second is probably no, since media are also made up of people such as there are honest and bad people there are also good publications to bitcoin from media.

i don't know why you used the word alarming, maybe you don't know the meaning of it. but it is normal and the article you shared is also old article with nothing interesting in it.

there has always been a lot of bad media, a lot of FUD, and many other bad things about bitcoin. and people usually demonize what they don't understand and don't use their brain to think about if it is true or not.

That kind of reports are normal when it comes to bitcoin. Many thinks that bitcoin is criminal money because of it's association with darknet, and as a currency in darknet that's why many associates bitcoin as illegal money but the media takes advantages of it and get bitcoin's image become more bad because of it.

Sometimes people reject something they don't understand and when you  don't understand something it makes you afraid of it.
But other times people are just jealous honestly because they can't have a success on something like here  bitcoin so they try to stop others from being successful.
